Mine is also backordered. I e-mailed Tiger last night to see why the order status is "backordered" when the DVD is listed "in stock" on the product page. No response as yet.

This is what I got from them:

Message :My order shows backordered; however, the item appears to be in stock. Why has it not been shipped?

Even if that were true, you'd think they would update the product page after getting more than one inquiry about it.

Too bad. I had heard good things about this company.

I am beginning to get worried about this one...

Here is what I got:

Our stock in the warehouse and our web site are two completely different entities, which are not hot-wired for complete accuracy. Our stock can fluctuate at times as the items supply and demand increase or decrease. This would be based on the popularity of the item in question and at any given time can become backordered. This is the norm as well for many other companies doing business online.

Yeah, I ordered a couple times from them years ago. I received the product both times (though shipping was a little slow), but my problems were rebate related ...
they never sent my rebate checks. So, I haven't ordered from them since. I wouldn't hesitate to order if something was a good price without a rebate though.

Got my disc y'day. And yeah, it is the older DTS version (was afraid it might be the newer one) For $2.98 shipped, this is one heckuva deal.

And I cant figure out what kind of order fulfilment system TD uses. My 'Apt. ****' went completely missing from the shipping address. Why bother asking you to record a second line of address info when you dont intend to capture it ? Good thing, the mailman knew me and put it in the right box

I cancelled my backorder today... got tired of playing their game.

If that's the case perhaps they should change the "In Stock" message to "Might Be In Stock' ;-)

Maybe they go tired of people pestering them...this is what they responded back to me - short and to the point:

Unfortunately there is a backorder status on your item but should be back in stock within the next week. WE do apologize for this delay.

Their GAME is stall, stall, stall --- hoping people would rather cancel than sit in agony as their $3 purchase hangs in limbo. Fug that. I've got all the time in the world and if the wait gets unreasonable, I've got screenshots and the BBB phone number at the ready. Now, Tiger Direct wouldn't jeopardize their sterling rep (snark) for a small dollar loss, would they? :shrug:

You're right, and if I had really wanted the DVD I probably would have just waited. But I ordered it mostly because it was so cheap, and I didn't feel it was worth the wait. I do regret letting the company win on this one.

I had a friend order one for me n top of his well worth waiting it out. If they ever deliver great if not oh well.
