Some Fox TV Sets for $16.99 at Costco

I was at Costco yesterday and discovered that there is an instant $10 taken off at the register on some $26.99 Fox TV sets. Costco has had this sale a couple of times in the past. The sets that I remember seeing were-

Remington Steele 1
Remington Steele 2
Pretender 1
Pretender 2
White Shadow 1
King of the Hill 1,2,3,4,5
In Living Color
X-Files Mythology Compilations

The item # for this sale is 979714.

They also had seasons 1-5 of South Park for $26.99 each. Unfortunately, these sets weren't on sale. I'm going to keep checking the price on these sets each time I go to Costco because I have a sneaky feeling that they will eventually ring up at $16.99

Did anybody see The Bob Newhart Show Season One and/or Season Two? Is it a part of the sale?

Hmmm. I might have to pick up the White Shadow for that - there has to be so much unintentional comedy gold there.

BTW - does anyone know if Costco will be selling the South Park S7 and Justice League S1 tomorrow?

I do believe they have a one time "day" membership but they charge an additional 10 to 20% to your total purchase. Costco did this at their So. Cal locations, not sure if they still do, so don't quote me on this.

Any chance that they also had Pretender S3 as part of this deal?

I'm going to a different location tomorrow, so I'll see what I can find(I think that Hill Street Blues might be part of the sale). Just remember when you go that any title with 979714 as the item number should ring up for $16.99 at the register.

Does Costco ever advertise these sales ahead of time? I just found out about it here yesterday and my local store is already out of most titles.

Only when they print coupons like last week's $6 off Universal titles are they known in advanced. For instant rebates you have to check these boards.
Many times the stores do not even have signs telling you of the sales it just rings up at checkout..

I can understand why - my local CostCo(s) had these sets out last month - although the IR was unavailable as of yet. I kept thinking they would be having a rebate for them, just took them a while.

First off, thanks to the OP for starting this thread. As usual, my local Costco (Eugene, OR) had no signs up in the DVD section advertising this instant rebate.

The pickings were pretty slim at this store, but I managed to find a single copy of King of the Hill: Season 5... and the only title I saw that hasn't been mentioned earlier in this thread was Reba: Season 1 (and, surprise, they had a bunch of those!)

My Costco didn't have any of these sets, just the X-Files season ones.

I checked this as well, and it's not on sale. The problem for me is that the Pretender Season 1 and 2 also rang up at full price!!!

Needless to say, I didn't pick up anything...

King of the Hill, here I come! Thanks OP. I love Costco. IMO they have by far some of the best DVD deals for a B&M store outside of like a DDD or a Walmart.
