Best Buy Buy two, get one on $9.99 MGM dvds

This should start tomorrow, if the stores get around to doing it. As stated, Best Buy will be having a buy two, get one deal on certain MGM $9.99 titles starting 2/26. I've included the UPC for titles that have more than one version available. My guess is that for titles that also have WS available at the same price, they will be included. Here's the list:

These are really bad movies. Are there anymore DVDs included not listed here? Thanks!

Yes, both Ralphs and Food4Less have had sales on these. Food4Less had them on sale for $6.00 a few weeks ago. I picked some up during the Ralphs sale where they were $5.00.

I don't believe the stores have a choice, but I think some stores might set the display before others get around to doing it. I also know it's not the best selection, but don't shoot the messenger. I was just posting it incase it interested someone. I personally am not excited about any of these titles, but wanted to pass along the news incase someone was looking for these. I knew other stores have had better prices on them recently, but this seems to be Best Buy's deal for the time being. Keep in mind the last time they did a set like this was the TV deals with the buy one, get one and then they decided to put some of those titles on sale to make the deal even better. Not saying that's going to happen for sure, but don't rule it out just yet.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is bad? Platoon? Would love to know what your definition of good is...

As pointed out by others, they can be had cheaper elsewhere. I've seen a lot of these at Walmart and Pathmark for $4 and $5.

Sometimes QFC and Fred Meyer will have a B1G1F for these MGM dvds.

Exactly...Be patient and keep watching the ads. Example -if they put 'em on sale for 2/$10, then you will get 3 for $3.34 each. If the B2G1 sale goes on a long time, I bet you will be able to combine this offer with another, like when they were giving away Sienfeld sets for $12.50 each.

Seems like DDDvd is doing something similar. On their main page, they now have an ad for "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" MGM, but when I click on it, it doesn't do anything but reload the main page - so maybe it's new or something. But there are some DVDs on the little ad, one of which is a Pink Panther Cartoon DVD. I added all 3 PP Cartoon volumes to my cart, and one of them was listed as FREE. I wonder if this is for ALL $9.42 MGM titles - if so, that's pretty cool.

Doing some checking, and it seems like this is for all MGM $9.42 titles that I tried.

Speaking of MGM DVDs, does anyone know why DDD does not have MGM's recent release of Son of the Pink Panther and why the Curse of the Pink Panther is the old pan & scan version instead of the new letterbox one?

I thought maybe they'd be part of the buy 2 get 1 free MGM sale, but it seems like these 2 DVDs are almost impossible to find anywhere (probably because they are lousy movies but that's beside the point).

Another curiosity: A March 7th preorder I had at DDD says it shipped today. Is that common practice (i.e. are they allowed to ship 1 week early) because they figure it'll take at least 1 week to arrive via media mail?
