Just for clarification, Ape Escape 3 is $40 at Best Buy, not $20. Unless there really is a sale for $20 in some regions, as there have been before, my ad has it for $40.

I'm confused on the Buffy sets. The price listed is after the $15 dollars is deducted?

No, before. The $17.99 Buffy Season 1 will be $2.99 after discount.

Sounds too good to be true. The website has Buffy sets at 49.99 which would be 34.99 after the $15 instead of 19.99 a set. Looks like the sale price includes the discount.

I just saw the weekly flyer.

$17.99 is price AFTER $15 instant rebate. The regular price for Buffy S1 is $32.99.

Also, $34.99 is price for Buffy S2-S7 AFTER $15 instant rebate. The regular price for Buffy S2-S7 is $49.99 each.

In conclusion, Speedy posted correct information in his original post.

So... YES, I think you're plan of going early is on the right track. (I usually go an hour before in winter .... )

Good luck and report back!
Thanks! I'm getting pretty nervous right now - it's 3AM, and I'm going to go there around 8:30-9:00. They open at 11, so the plan is to sit in the car, read a book, and if I see so much as one person go to the door, my ass is right behind them.

Did they not have any in stock today? Could you have picked it up today and price-matched it down on Sunday?

To be honest, I never even thought about that. I'm not sure that you could, though...given the fact that there's the free RAM upgrade and all.

Speedy, just wanted to thank you for the posting of the ad and the advice. I was the first one in the parking lot at 9AM, the first one in line at the door at 10:45, and the first one to get the laptop. Thanks so much!

It is probably half size or a mini comic. I bought The Flash from BB, and the comic was not full sized.

There is indeed a picture but no scale to relate it to.

I would say it is probably a mini comic, much like the one that was included in the recent Underworld Extended DVD release.

Also no mention of The Frisco Kid on the 14th. I always thought it was a great Gene Wilder/Harrison Ford movie, but I guess none of the stores think it's worth mentioning.

I already know there will be no reviews of the DVD for weeks, and I doubt I'll be able to find out if it's a DVD-5 or DVD-9 no matter how much I ask or where I look on the Internet. People think I'm weird because I ask/care whether a DVD is single or dual layer, but avoiding single layer discs is one of my rules like never pay more than $15 for any new release, never pay more than $10 for any re-release, and never pay more than $20 for any TV series.

I don't think that's weird. I feel the same way. When an SE of a movie comes out, I like to even find out how much room it takes up on the disc to make sure that they didn't compress it more than the original release - just to make room for extras.

Thanks.

What do you do when you're in the same situation I'm often in since you're one of the few who understands why I look for disc capacity info? That is, you have an older DVD release of something you really like and a re-release with new extras or a supposedly better transfer comes out, but you can't find any reviews or reliable layer info. Do you post messages until you find out, wait weeks or months for a review to mention it before buying, or buy it right away and hope for the best? A lot of times I do the latter but then I try to find out before my 30 days are up.

Only the 1st season of Buffy is $29.99, the rest are $40+.

However, Amazon has the new Slimcase packages listed at $27.99/season, available May 30th.
