Harry Potter & Goblet of Fire 2-disc SE @ FYE $15.99 aft. rebate

title says it all. got the email from FYE.com today. single disc version is $12.99 after rebate, but I'm sure most of us here will be getting the 2-disc Special Edition, since the first three films were released as 2-disc sets.

does anyone think that (other than getting it through Columbia House) any other stores B&M or online will beat this?

21.99 at amazon and 20.99 at Costco looks the best to me so far.

FYE is $22.99 - 7.00 mail-in rebate = $15.99.

The single-disc versin will probably be around $15.99 in most B&M stores, but I doubt the two-disc version will get a steep discount, if other recent dual release titles are any indication, like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lord of War, ect.

Yeah definitely not a deal for me:

Subtotal $22.99
Shipping Charges $2.98
Tax $1.49
Total $27.46
Rebate -$7.00
Final Price $20.46+0.39(Stamp for rebate submission)=
Grand Total = $20.85

And no guarantee the rebate will ever be processed. Definitely going the COSTCO route with this one.

Aren't the prices/rebates on the FYE site the same instore? If so, that would take off your $3 shipping charge

DDD had Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2-disc for about $18 during release week. I'm sure it'll be close for this one. I'm not a fan of rebates either. Give me the discount now!

Rebate form says nothing about in-store purchase. It specifically refers to "fye.com order confirmation email dated 2/3/06-3/20/06 and packing slip" as the 2nd requirement for that rebate. Perhaps they have a different one for in-store. Either way, their rebates are usually bogus.

Thumbs down on FYE's rebates. I hope there will be a class action lawsuit soon.

No, they most definitely aren't. Sometimes, but a lot of the time they vary. Just like Walmart, prices are different from store to store as well as online vs. B&M store.
