Amazon is pretty hit-or-miss about honoring mispriced items, so I went ahead and ordered it from Overstock (I also made sure to print out the item & order pages, just in case they try to send me some one-disc PD release instead of the Paramount 3-disc box set.)

Unless they have recently changed their policy, Overstock treats preorders as "special orders" and charges your credit card as soon as the order is place, so the price may be great, but you should be aware that you are paying for it four months in advance.

Based on the Amazon info, I decided to "cover-my-bases" & place an order there as well. Gotta love that "Prime" S&H trial.

I block there advertising emails and today I got one with the title "Wee Miss You!" I hope they like me returning.

I placed an order. Last time I ordered from them they cancelled the order and then sent it to me.

Just for the record, I've had more luck with Overstock when it comes to mis-priced stuff. I don't think I've ever actually received anything mis-priced from Amazon, but I have received a couple of things from Overstock (the Charles Dickens Box Set, for example). With the Evangelion Platinum: Complete Collection, I believe the people who received it were those that selected "Bill Me Later." I went ahead and placed an order via CC for this item. If I don't get it, no biggie, but I figured I'd give it a shot. It can't hurt to try at Amazon, too, if it is something you really want, but I wouldn't be surprised when you get the dreaded cancellation e-mail! Actually, the worst is when they don't notify you at all, but still cancel your order. Anyway, pretty good deal if it goes through. I think my dad would enjoy it.
