need to know: any sales or bargains at Suncoast?
 

I have media play gift cards/certificates worth around $40 that can be used at Suncoast. I want to buy some dvds. Does anyone know of any sale or upcoming sale at suncoast, who accepts media play gift cards?

They have had 15% off all month. Just ended yesterday. Code was JAN6 or JAN06 (I forget which) so you could see if it still works...

Not on DVDs, but they have a lot of cool action figures on clearance usually.

Right now they have Buy 4 for $40 (3 for 33 // 2 for 23) IIRC - for all reg priced $14.99 DVD's. Not much. Also maybe some others - all I remember is some signage on the walls above a display (might have been New Releases or studio grouping).

I wandered into the store @ Hickory Hollow Mall in Antioch, TN, knowing that they were closing soon. However, today was actually their last day. They had the 10.2" screen portable dvd player, that they usually stickered @ $349.00 marked down to $169.99. Cheapest online I found today is $229. Anyway, I told the female employee how sorry I was to hear she was losing her job, and she knocked another 25% off. So $127 + tax. I had about $120 in giftcards to burn, so I left happy!

If you have a Suncoast in your city that may be closing, you may get a deal on poster frames ($10 for 27X40 size) or other goodies, but the DVDs themselves are being packed up and shipped elsewhere (at least at the local store I mentioned).

Thanks for the tip. Those poster frames are worth picking up. They usually go for $20 and are the perfect size for actual movie 2-sheets.

I didn't even know that there were some Suncoast stores that were closing. I bought some big DVD shelves at the one closest to where I live during Christmas. I went back about a couple weeks later and the store was completely shut down. Was there a list of stores that were scheduled to be closed during January?

I didn't know that, either. I hope none of my stores close. I don't buy DVD's there much, but I buy collectibles there, especially once they clearance them cheap... And I bought all of my Sauder DVD racks there...

I imagine that Cameron's position with Suncoast would prevent him from sharing all that he could in this situation.
