This is a good deal for those fans of the film. The dvd is OOP.

Are there two different editions of the 30th anniv. edition, dvdpricesearch.com shows 2 editions? Also, which edition is OOP?

I certainly hope so. The new HD master has been made for a couple of years. I'm hoping for an anamorphic version soon.

Thanks! I've been waiting for a good price on this. I didn't know it had gone OOP.

You might check your 5.50 dump bins in the store. There used to be tons of these in my local Wal-mart.

Is this still available for $6.99 at Best Buy B&Ms?

Also, a heads up for anyone thinking of getting this, I have held off getting this version thanks to all the warnings in these threads. I'm still holding out for a better transfer myself. Read below.

Those that have the r2 version swear by the PQ vs the various r1 versions. Right now Amazon has a nice sale going on...I just bought the TCM r2 2 disc set Special Ed., Wicker man 2 disc Se and Creep for $30+ shipped. Not a bad deal on titles that I've been wanting to pick up. Another reason to go region free.
