Seinfeld Seasons 5 & 6 $19.99 Each AR--FYE B&M

FYE has Seinfeld Seasons 5 & 6 on sale for $39.99 each, with $20 rebates. This deal is in-store only. The sign didn't have an ending date--it just said while supplies last. The clerk thought it would probably end sometime this week.

What does the rebate require? Do you have to cut up your box?

And is this national for sure? My local FYE is about a 45 minute drive...

FYE rebates accept the price sticker, as it has the UPC code on it.

Call before you go in, as there have been several sales posted here, but when I get to my local FYE they have no idea what I'm talking about.

I was just about to post this. Same price/rebate at Coconuts. The rebate is valid from 12/15/05 - 1/11/06, but keep in mind that it is currently on SALE for 39.99. So that sale price could end sooner (reg. price is 49.99)

This is even hotter if you live in the Fort Worth, Texas, area. Maybe other areas, too, though YMMV.

I just got back from the Hulen Mall store and they have MANY of the Season 5 and Season 6 sets MISPRICED at $36.99. The cashier even told me they were mispriced when I checked out--left over from Black Friday. They rang up at $39.99, but she said they'd honor the misprice until they got around to fixing them. They're located all over the store, so if you go there, look hard, and I'm sure you'll find some. BTW, there are NO signs in the store about the rebate, but it does print at the register.

And if that's not enough, they also have a sign up that says you get free Seinfeld dinner mints with a Seinfeld DVD purchase.

So, I ended up getting both seasons of Seinfeld + mints for $34 + tax after rebate. Not bad!

(They also had Emit Otter's Jugtime Christmas: CE for $4.99 after rebate.)

Hmm, I never opened my sets from Target for $24.99 each after $5 gift card. I wonder if it's worth it to return them and rebuy them at FYE and send in and wait for the rebate just for $8.22 savings?

Does the American Express 20% off coupon work when you buy these DVD's or does the "Sale" price of $39.99 disqualify the coupon?

same question.. anyone know if this will disqualify the rebate? i didn't see this first.. otherwise..i'd try to use it... saving another $16 from these two sets would be sweet..

I just tried this...the first time I checked out they applied the 20% coupon to just one of the Seinfeld sets. I noticed and mentioned it so the manager voided the transaction and rung it up again. This time he read the coupon's fine print and decided that since Seinfeld is on "Sale" at $39.99, the coupon is not valid on the purchase. So I ended up paying about $8 + tax more since I complained about the coupon. If I had to do it all over again, I'd ask that each set be rung up seperately.

I also got Forrest Gump for $9.99 - $5.00 rebate while I was there.

I feel robbed! I didn't get any mints. I did get their 2006 calendar though (which has TONS of coupons)...

I didn't get a calendar - were they supposed to give them away with each purchase or are they free to pickup without purchase. I got the Seinfeld sets just yesterday and no calendar

Well - if they coupons are not any good then no real loss -- but -- with my luck they probably are the ones I would use -- oh well.

Should the $39.99 sale price be good through the weekend? Anyone NOT gotten the rebate forms?

In NYC, you'll have to pay $64 (w/ tax) for the two sets (5 and 6). I went to the FYE in Queens and the rebate is $10 per set. The price rang up at the register is $39.99 per set, which will have the rebate thinggy printed if you purchase it. Original price is $49.99. They do have a 30% on TV sets sale now, but i don't know why the Seinfeld S5 and S6 rang up as $39.99 each (30% of $49.99 should be $35). But even then, it's still $10 more than the OP's price. And oh, the tax, it's a unaccounted $6 for two sets, ouch....

Thank you - I missed that and getting the calendar Oh - well atleast I did get the $39.99 S5-S6 and the $20 each rebate.

The rebate slip printed out with the receipts as well as a rebate receipt.

As the rebates printed out, the manager, who happened to be the one at the cash register, exclaimed -- "$40 in rebates, that is worth the price of admission in itself" -- see, I had also been talked into their Backstage Pass which gave me another $8 off too (10% off everything including sale prices), so that is probably what he was referring to. ((So I have recovered 1/3, only in the hole $17, with a year still to go on my $25 Backstage Pass - with 20% off on my B-day too yet to come. The may pan out after all.))

I bought the Backstage Pass back in October and it's paid itself off already. Besides saving an additional $4 each on Seinfeld 5 & 6, I got these for $4 after MIR and Backstage Pass:

Days Of Thunder
Seabiscuit
Forrest Gump Special Collector's Edition
Eddie Murphy - Raw
Fast Times At Ridgemont High Special Edition
We Were Soldiers
Edward Scissorhands Anniversary Edition
U2 Rattle And Hum
The Italian Job Special Collector's Edition
