I've seen Charlies Angels in the bin before. I can't remember if the others you mention were there.

Picked up Key Largo this AM. I see that Roachie bought Major League II. I will look for that one since my VHS is stretching....

Spotted a shopping cart filled with $3.88 DVDs at my Wal Mart. Previously mentioned here were:

Twin Peaks: Firewalk With Me
Soldier
Freejack
Major League II

Also saw:
The Man Who Knew Too Little
Volunteers
The Crush
White Sands
The Sea Wolves
Diabolique
The Mosquito Coast
Valentine

I think there may have been a couple of other decent titles that I can't remember. I also intentionally left out several others that were Full Screen only versions.

Saw most of these as well. Didn't realize they were $3.88.... might go back tonight and pick up Valentine which is pretty underrated. White Sands was pretty boring though. Mosquito Coast is fantastic though!

Geez. My local Wall of Mart didn't have any of the good titles, just the usual sort of crappy DVDs I've come to expect in the $5.50 swill pit. Of course, I did manage to pick up several copies of Fletch for $4.88 when those were available, so maybe this is how the balance of the Universe is restored. Or not.

I want Mothman Prophecies and the Lewis Black HBO special. I must've watched that on demand at least 10 times.

Must check for those this weekend.

Almost bought X-Files: Fight The Future from the $5.50 bin today. Couldn't think of why I'd want it, so I put it back.

I don't know if you're into Sci-Fi movies but X-Files: Fight The Future is very good.

I was a big X-Files fan, saw FTF at the theater, but just could not think of why I'd want to own it today.

We just watched Interview With the Vampire this evening that I blind-bought among the DVDs that started this thread. Very good movie!

Well just went into walmart to buy a gun and came out with 3 movies out of the 5.50 bin....Someone had a huge hole dug so it allowed me to dig around the bottom.

Got:

Short Circuirt WS ( A Classic )
Stir Of Echoes Special Edition

All WS $5.50 each

Did you take the gun with you to the bargain bin? I'm sure that would scare away any other scavengers.

Sometimes, when I'm at the bin, I wish I had a gun.

Yeah, to make a big hole in the bottom of the dump pit so that you could see all of the hidden treasures/shit. Someone needs to make a documentary about the dvd craze.

I was there today and saw they got rid of the bin format in favor of a really nice bookshelf setup. They were tall enough where everything could be set up so the spines could be viewed. In some cases, they were two deep, but everything was easily accesible.

Wound up getting the Chris Rock DVD. I almost bought the only Key Largo, but the possible SE from Warner in '06 prevented me from doing that. Almost did the same with Fistful of Dollars, but figured I'll just go region-free if need be.
