Best B&M price for Serenity?
 

This might be a little early, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the best b&m price will be for Serenity? I'm planning on picking up a bunch of copies as gifts, and don't want to risk slow shipping for the holidays.

It looks like Target's price will be 16.99. For the other prices, just wait until the early prices are posted and check those threads for yourself.

Don't know about the B&M's but Buy.com has it for $18.97. Although in deference to :bow: deepdiscountdvd.com I'd prefer to give the sale to them under their price match gurantee (sp?).

If anyone else has better online pricing, I'd be interested to know.

Serenity $14.99 at Fry's TUESDAY 12/20 only. Don't know how much it will be after Tuesday.

They also have Firefly series for $29.99.

So, it seems there will be no exclusives with this (i.e. bonus DVD, chopsticks, heck, even that keyring that was floating around I've seen ;) )?

I'm shocked there appear to be no Serenity/Firefly bundle deals. I thought that was a natural. Guess I'll wait... no Fry's around here.

The non-bundle doesn't surprise me, being two different companies. But you'd think that maybe the stores would promote Firefly to a degree.. maybe even a sale.

There is a cross-promotion for this and Battlestar Galactica Season 2.0. If you buy them together you get $10 off. Best Buy has Battlestar listed at $32.99 and should be $17.99 (?) for Serenity. Don't know what the other B&M's are for Battlestar. This offer is a tear-off coupon on both packages. Keep in mind that Battlestar will possibly re-release this season with the rest of it that starts up in January at a later date. Plenty of speculation on this in other threads, but if you just gotta have it to get caught up, then an extra $10 off isn't a bad reward for buying them both.

Too bad no exclusives:( I was hoping for a Best Buy bonus disk, a Wal-Mart bonus, something! Not too often would I say this, but I'd buy a copy at each store if they had different bonus items.

Called Ultimate Electronics, they said if they carry it, it'll be 13.95, the price of all new releases there. I have a $5 gift card that I plan to use, making it 8.95.

I think my wife is going to get me the Firefly/Serenity bundle at Amazon for $46 shipped for Christmas.

I'm hoping that it will be $15 at Wal-Mart. I also hope that they have it out by 7am because I don't want to have to fight the ridiculous crowds around here.

I'm going to Wal-Mart tomorrow and I'm going to price match Fry's for the $14.99 price (I have their ad from Sunday's papers) as I'm too lazy (and sick) to drive there.

My wife just called me, Serenity is $14.87 at my Wal*Mart (281/1604). It rings up at $16 .XX but they'll change it.

Visiting my folks up in Newtown CT. The Danbury Walmart has it for 15.87.
I didn't think the Target price was going to be the best. Even though YMMV with Walmart, it's worth calling and checking first.
