Six Feet Under season 2 for $34.65 shipped @ DVD Pacific

I was just doing some price searches and ran across this...

http://www.dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=583603

I was actually trying to find season 4, so I'm not purchasing this, but thought I'd post it in case anyone was looking for season 2.

I haven't been too happy in my experiences with them. Their shipping cost is an "estimate," and they charged me almost double what it told me on my first order. If you order multiple DVDs from them, make sure you check the box to hold the order until complete. Otherwise, they will ship items separately and charge you an inflated shipping cost on each shipment.

On my second order, I ordered three of an item. The confirmation they sent showed the correct quantity. However, they only shipped me one copy, and the order on their site only showed one. When I emailed them, they told me I'd only ordered one and could re-order (at the new, higher price, btw). When I insisted that I'd ordered three, and had an email that stated that, the csr basically told me I was wrong. They also refused to do anything on the shipping overcharge, referencing their FAQ.

They have had some pretty good prices lately. If you do order from them, watch the shipping charges!

Thank you very much for the firshand report. I don't care for the "estimated" shipping costs.

Isn't this the site that got hacked and caused my (and many other) credit cards to be massively defrauded? If so, I'd stay far away.

Why ask the question when you already know the answer?

Anyway, since that incident, haven't heard of any problems!

Well, I wasn't totally sure that was the site, so that's why! And after one incident like that, I'd be shy about ordering from them ever again.

If I recall correctly, it was more like two back to back incidents - They were hacked, they blamed their customers and then they were hacked again and finally did something to really fix it. There might have been a half-assed attempt to fix things inbetween hacks, I don't remember all the details.

Thanks, OP, I just ordered this one. My only previous experience with them was a couple of weeks ago with Jeremiah: Season One, which arrived last night. With both orders, in light of the security concerns voiced when the Jeremiah deal was posted (as well as in this thread), I obtained one-time CC numbers for the purchases.

Thanks, OP!

Just a vote of support for DVD Pacific here. I have been using them for app. 3+ years now with very little concerns. There CS is superb at handling problems if and when they arise in my experience. The security scare was about 2 years ago now and yes I was one of the affected but there unlikely to be the last victims of this type of problem on the internet and they have had no problems since that I am aware of either.

They do offer several types of shipping options as noted previously and if you do select their ship what is available option you get charged a separate base shipping charge for each shipment which for media mail is $1 so really not "inflated". But to avoid this just select their hold till complete shipping option as I typically do and then all items ship when stock is available as a single shipment.
