For the first time in a long time I didn't set my alarm this morning. Got ten hours of sleep and never felt better.

I didn't get too much, but did get the one item I really wanted. Got up at 4:40, was at BestBuy at 4:55. Probably easily 1,000 people in line. I got in line and was fairly quickly inside the store (by 5:15). The wait to checkout was 1.5 hours. That sucked.

I got:

- 19" MAG LCD - $319 - $150 MIR = $169 => Paid $19 and $300 in BestBuy bucks. So, depending on how you look at it, I made money AR.

Yesterday I bought Arrested Development S2 via BestBuy.com for 14.99.

We went to Walmart yesterday, picked all the DVDs we wanted to pricematch today, and stuck them in layaway.

While I slept this morning my wife went back, breezed by all the insanity, and had the layaway DVDs price-adjusted then paid-out. She said they were slightly pissed

She also picked up Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil for $19.99 (half-price) at the GameStop next door to Walmart.

Did well by pricematching everything at Wal Mart (Cinderella for 8.88 was probably one of the best deals).

Lost out on Arrested Development S2--sold ou tin both Circuit Citys and in Wal Mart.

DId pick up a 512 gb pro duo for my psp for 19.99AR from Circuit city--was amazed that they were still there at 9:30.

I did all my shopping (24 S2 and S3, Apollo 13 from Best Buy; Simpsons S6 from Circuit City) yesterday, so today I just slept in. When I woke up it was pouring rain and pretty cold too, so I was really glad I didn't go out.

I first went to Fry's, but got there a quarter after 5 a.m. so I missed out on the $399 laptop deal, but I did find the other deals:

I bought most of the DVD offerings at Best Buy, hours after the 5 a.m. start, and was pleasantly surprised to still have a nice selection to choose from. Thankfully these were mainly gifts. Checkout was also pretty fast once the big early crowd was processed.

Woke up at 4:00 AM so my brother and brother in law could swing-by and get me in the door of Best Buy with the opening door crowd (huge line, went surprisingly fast when the doors opened). My mother even joined in on the fun while my father chickened-out and decided to sleep in (he used to wake up early to hit Fry's when the doors opened on BF).

Black Friday is exhausting yet fun at the same time...nothing like being surrounded by hundreds of like-minded bargain hunters/shoppers.

My sister wanted the portable dvd player from walmart for around $80 plus the case & accessories for another $10. There was no way I was going to wait at Walmart at 4 in the morning. I've been to Kmart on Black Friday years past & while it was busy I always could look across the street & see that Walmart was insane. So today I slept in, then hit Value City around 10:30 & got her a portable dvd player with all of the accessories & tax for $95. I also got my mother a nice top from Kmart for $8 & change. Then I hit Lowes & got a poinsetta for under $2 for my mother. I also went to Eckerd & got a bunch of cheap conditioner for .50 a piece. Yesterday I bought the following from Rite Aid-Charlie fragrance set (for my mom) for $10 & change, 3 candy bars for .79, cheap contact solution for .99 cough drops for .49. I didn't buy any dvds because I was happy with the ones I ordered from ddd. I was thinking about getting a digital camera but the one I wanted wasn't advertised as being on sale anywhere. There aren't any BBs or CCs in our area.

How long is Arrested Development Season 2 supposed to be $12.99 at Circuit City? I thought it was at least all day today if not tomorrow as well. It was $12.99 on their web site this morning, but I had to get my check in the bank and do some other shopping first, so I get back and now it's at $34.99.

I guess my question is, is the $12.99 price supposed to still be good tomorrow? If so I will just wait and pricematch it at Best Buy tomorrow, but I'm not going out again today. So if it's only good today, I might say screw it and order from Best Buy's Website for $17.xx.

I'm just pissed it changed at Circuit City. I was going to get that and a Dora the Explorer toy for my nephew and get the free shipping.

Got up at noon, showered, relaxed, got a haircut, swung by WalMart. Totally normal day. No crowds and no trouble parking. The DVDs were a mess though and I found:
