Lord of the Rings (FOTR, TTT, ROTK) $5.88 each [Target]

The 2-disc theatrical releases are on sale for $5.88 each! Ridiculously low price. Thought I would share for those who held out or are looking for a great gift.

For the rebate-seekers, these titles are $4.99 each after $5 Rebate in TWEC stores (FYE, Coconuts, Strawberries although I did not see it in the local Wherehouse in SoCal)..same prices hold good good for each of the Matrix movies and the Harry Potter movies

I saw no mention of this in the Target ad. I'll stop by after work.

It looks like some of the BF pricing is hitting the shelves early. I saw that Kingdom of Heaven movie for $8.99 already at Moviestop.

The Harry Potter DVDs are also available at Target for $5.88 each, both WS and FS.

Also, the Collector's Edition DVD for War of the Worlds (1953) is on sale for $4.99 this week.

Edit: WOW (2005) LE was $29.99, and the Polar Express SE was $22.99, so no deals there.

The $5.88 deals last until 12-5, according to the sale signs. My Target only had 3 copies left of the King Kong: 2-disc non-tin version. I got one...$14.99 FYI.

They had "Temporary Price Cuts" on several cds and a few other movies as well.

Hmmm. I was at Target yesterday and they didn't have a sale. The Harry Potters were all $13.xx and the LOTRs were the same though Fellowship had a strange price cut to $10.

The Target in Pasadena on Fairmont and Beltway had plenty of copies of LOTR and Harry Pothead movies!

Grabbed all 3 LOTR movies for less than $20

Excellent deal indeed!

The cashier thought it was an error but he busted out with the price listing for BF and they were on there along with the rest of the DVD's that were going to be marked down. I tried scanning sets like That 70's Show Season 3 and The Simpsons Season 6 but no cigar. Looks like only LOTR and Harry were on sale.

Target @ 183 & Beltline has plenty of all 3 LotR and HP discs. Picked up FotR and TTT to replace the ones a friend lost when I loaned them to her. That was the LAST time I let her borrow DVDs.

thanks for the heads up on this. i picked up the three HP movies, and i'll take the ones i purchased from Best Buy back for a refund. go figure, it's easier to get a refund than a price adjustment. i figure i'll spare myself the roll of the eyes from the lackey at the customer service counter.

YMMV - Harry Potter + LOTR All $5.88 at Target

Was at the Yuba City, CA Target tonight. They had all the Harry Potter + Lord of the Rings DVDs for $5.88. There was a Temporary Price Cut card, so I don't know how far-reaching this is. They had plenty of widescreen copies of all of them (unlike Best Buy, where I could only find fullscreen last week). Have fun.

Yep, my Target had all the HPs and LOTRs for 5.88 and I picked up the three Harry Potters. It definitely irks me that the most recent release isn't in the nice packaging though. Oh well. Can't argue the price.

Yeah, this is so true... Best Buy got FS of HP only, weird eh? It was $8 last week and i thought i missed a good deal, but looks like i save a little more (if they still have few copies at the local Target)

Picked up one of each movie (all 6). They were clearly marked with the temporary price cut tags. They had them in two locations. One of the "island" end caps was the main section, but all they had there was full screen versions of the Potter movies. I found all of the widescreen versions back in the family movies section, or kids section, whatever that section is. They also had more Potter movies in the action section.
