Warner Collections $20 at Amazon - Some titles over 60% off!

There are probably more, but here's what I've found so far (@ $19.97 each):

Barbra Streisand DVD Giftset
Best Picture Collection: Classic Musicals (An American In Paris / Gigi / My Fair Lady)
Elizabeth Taylor: Signature Collection
Gene Kelly Collection, The (4-Pack)
Gone With The Wind (4-Disc Collector's Edition)
Humphrey Bogart Collection (Big Sleep/Casablanca/Key Largo/Maltese Falcon)
John Wayne: Signature Collection
Katharine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy (Signature Collection)
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001NBLYA/dvdtalkTarzan Collection (Johnny Weissmuller)
That's Entertainment!: The Complete Collection

What with the current DDD feeding frenzy, this might not help many, but there it is.

I'm tempted to pick up the "Tarzan Collection" if I can make some room in my budget after the DDD sale.

That's an exceptional price for the Boggy set. Casablanca on its own (I believe it's the SE) is worth the price alone. I'd get it were it not for the rumors of SE of The Maltese Falcon and Key Largo in '06.

from one of the reviewers:
Final note: There is a 2-disc edition of "Casablanca" with more extras than the 1-disc edition included here, which fans will definitely want to get. However, this edition is still worth the purchase for the remaining three movies alone, which individually cost more than the *four* movies contained herein together.

Thank you for the heads up on these deals. The Gone With the Wind, That's Entertainment, and Tarzan sets are really good deals. I am guessing that these prices are coming directly from Warners so other dealers will probably have similar deals. This week Circuit City, Best Buy, and Target are selling
Friends Season sets (1-9) for $19-$20 each . Circuit City has the best price at $18.99. I think this is all part of the aggressive pricing we heard about for this holiday season.

In fact I just saw another thread with similar prices at Walmart including Gone With The Wind
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=445047

I hope Costco kicks in with some great deals.

I was going to get the 2-disc of Gone With the Wind that comes out in January. I just ordered the 4-disc instead, since it's only $5 more. Thanks for posting the deal.

That's Entertainment Box Set is 30 bucks at the DDD 20 percent off sale making this a pretty sweet price.

Correct link:

The Warner Mega Collection is now $1,449.98
64% off list at Amazon . That is $2 cheaper then DDD. Too bad it is being released after the 20% off sale.

I have the Gene Kelly Box, and it has the two-disc special edition in it. The specs on amazon.com also say
Includes Singin' in the Rain (Special Edition), An American in Paris, On the Town, and Gene Kelly: Anatomy of a Dancer

With the A-1 discount, you get an additional $22.76 off! (And it qualifies for free shipping too! Whoulda thunkit?)

If I didn't already have Singin' in the Rain, I would get the Gene Kelly set.

Has anyone every bought those mega-sets? I know last year they had the Criterion Collection Mega-set for $2500. If I would have had the money, that would have been mine.

Thanks, but with the last go-around of these mark-downs (WM, Target, Sams, BB, etc), I think I'll wait to see what happens. Although these are very tempting.

Thanks. I ordered Gene Kelly. I wish the Bogart collection had the Casablanca SE.

Not a bad deal but Costco is selling the same sets for $18.95 ...

so even factoring in tax a better deal if you're going there anyway.

You're correct. It is indeed the two-disc. Sadly, the Kelly box has a two-disc DVD, but the Bogie box doesn't have a two-disc one. If it had the two-disc Casablanca it would be perfect. But yes, still a nice buy.

I was hoping the Warner Marx Brother set would be part of the deal but apparently not. I did pick up the Tarzan set at Costco yesterday.
