Yeah, I did overpay for Firefly. I knew I should had held off to see if the price was adjusted. But I have emailed CS @ DDD and I am hopeful that it will be resolved. Could always just return and reorder if not.

They aired the third episode first. I remember watching it and thinking "boy, this kinda sucks." And even in watching that episode on DVD, its probably the weakest of the bunch.

Anyway...I got the set as a gift, and was totally blown away by it. Fox really screwed up with airing it. I still think the new Battlestar Galactica is the best sci-fi on TV, but you can't go wrong with Firefly. I just picked up a copy for my secret Santa gift!

Is anyone else getting the $15 Cash Back Offer after checkout?

I did - it seems to require you to sign up for an affiliate program (free for one month) and will send you up to $15 credit for the next DDD order (send in invoice and they cut check).

I remember doing another promotion with that company in the past (via AllPosters), though I got a code to use immediately, rather than being credited. Very good recommendations lwhy, extending the list even more:

Boomtown S1 - This is easily one of THE best cop-dramas i´ve ever seen. I saw a lot of TV shows this year, but this one really blew me away. It´s an absolute steal for $15.11 therefore you shouldn´t miss it, also a perfect x-mas gift! Unfortunately, the show got cancelled due to unknown reasons, which made a lot of people furious, because it had so much heart, very believable characters with real developments in each episode. Either way, this is a Must Buy!

Sunrise, if you liked Boomtown, you'll really enjoy the HBO show The Wire too. The first two seasons are out, and they are pricey at $72.37 each before discount but well worth the money.

At this time I think it's a very good deal for the set- cheapest I've seen it anywhere by $10 or so. It will probably come down in price down the road, but $41.50 for 4 movies and 8 discs is pretty good, regardless of how much most all of us hate B&R. I figure at some point I'll see it in the pawn shops, but I don't wanna wait on seeing the first movie all cleaned up, DTS sound and watching Keaton and Nicholson.

Let me ask a question for Samurai fans out there. I bought the Kurosawa Samurai Box in a prior sale, and later Kagemusha, and frankly have only watched Seven Samurai. Just haven't had time to watch the others. In general, are either the Samurai Trilogy or Rebel Samura Criterion boxes (or both) worth buying? Is one noticeably better than the other? One advantage Samurai Trilogy has over the others is obviously the relationship each three movies share. Beyond that I can't really comment as I haven't seen Rebel Samurai (it will be in my DDD order though).

I've just watched finished Wonderfalls, and I think I have a new favorite show. It's such a shame it only lasted one season.

And don't get me started about the 4400. I watched it up until a couple of minutes before the end of the 4th episode, then turned it off in disgust. When I feel like shooting a main character to release a killer he's just caught, something's very very wrong.
