Kaleido Star Collection disappeared from my wish list. That could have been due to ADV restrictions, though. They recently had some of their newer releases excluded from an anime site's ADV Studio Sale.

Hey folks - looks like DDD is true to their word. Emma Peel is back down to $75. Perhaps others have been corrected, too?

This thread is *on fire!* I blink and there are 3 more pages.

use dvdpricesearch as I linked above
from what I can see many of yesterday's prices (pre-price increase) still show up via that site

per Geoff's suggestion, looked for Fight Club (can't believe I don't own that yet), but ddd didn't seem to have the 2 disc set, was that limited editon or something, can I just not find it?

Also, anyone know if the Batman anthology has gone up?

I'm also in the camp of buying less if any with all of the price increases.

Starting a list of titles that have gone up so much that there is no savings is a great idea.

Yeah, I've tried to order Ultraviolet during the last 2-3 sales and my order always get canceled, saying it's no longer available, yet it's still on the site.

SCRUBS-2ND SEASON $27.89 was $31.79
CHARMED-2ND SEASON $31.89 was $35.89

but
KOLCHAK-NIGHT STALKER $29.98 was $26.39

I had this list for about 5 months and never have I seen prices change this much.

Yeah, I would definitely check other prices before committing to an order...I just picked up the Superbit version of Heavy Metal for 9.99 at Best Buy, it is $20.34(!) before 'discount' at DDD.

of course, the code's not active yet...maybe they're saving the changes to go into effect when the code does...

I'm mostly annoyed that I now have to take the extra step of making them perform an obvious pricematch on the titles they just raised. That Sex and the City increase of around $35 is just ridiculous. What a hassle. I hope they can keep up with all the orders AND the pricematch requests...

I've been a big fan of DDD and appreciative of their sales so I'll do the extra work for a good deal. But the timing of these price increases does come off as a little shady and for the first time I am reconsidering buying some DVDs.

The 2 disc edition went OOP and OOS at most online stores a long time ago... However, it is now back in print. That said, IIRC, it's ONLY available at Best Buy.

Nearly everything on my wishlist has started to "fluctuate" in price (meaning go up). I'm quite discouraged by this. Was planning on by buying quite a bit, but I think I'll just pass now. Firefly was one of my major wants, but I can just go to Amazon or Buy.com which has it cheaper and still for free shipping. ONly a coupole of my major wants haven't gone up....yet.

Thanks DDD. I'm really going to be saving a lot of money this time.

I'm only buying one thing now because of this. Last year I must have spent like $500 and this year it's gonna go down to about $40 that's if the prices hold up.

Seems like a very shady practice to me but hey I'm not running the business.

See post #37 in this thread.

From previous sales, I recall the codes BARGAINFLIX and DVDPRICESEARCH were also used in addition to those ones, but I have no idea if they will be this time.
