ADV Sale 10/27-10/31

Just got the e-mail. ADV is having another sale from 10/27 - 10/31. Prices are 50% - 75% off on select items, just like in the previous sale last month.

IIRC the last sale like this garnered several complaints of merchandise
not arriving in the greatest of condition due to the following;

"Products offered through this sale are clearance and close-out items. As
such, product bar codes will be reconfigured, replaced or physically altered
(including by means of cutting, punching or drilling). Some products may be
open box. Some products may be delivered without full retail packaging.
Except as expressly provided otherwise, products are sold as-is."

So just a heads up to keep that in mind when ordering.

I ordered quite a bit. It took over a month to get the items, but that was expected and they are very upfront about it.

Thigns of concern:

There is NO WAY to check or confirm your order status other than calling and emailing. Whether you get someone to help is another story.

All my Discs had a small pinhole though the UPC (im assuming so they can't be resold)

The pinhole does go through and sometimes pierce the paperwork inside, but it no where near the disc itself

Any discs that come with a boxset box, the boxes were not in the greatest condition. I haven't had one ripped, but alot of bruised corners.

Hope this helps

It did take alittle long to receive my order last time, but the prices made it worth it. The Boxset had a small hole in it on the UPC, and the 2 regular dvds also had small holes in the upc. Sometimes they dont even go through the whole box. Not bad at all.

Okay, so my question is, if I ordered during this sale, would the stuff arrive before Christmas? I'd like to order a few things for my daughter, but not if they won't get here before the holiday...

I would not count on ADV to get the stuff to you before Xmas. Chances are that it will get there, but if you are depending on it, you know Uncle Murphy is going to get involved and screw things up.

When that happens you will try to contact ADV's customer service and then you will realize that these people are a joke and that not only will you not get any actual "service" from customer service, you will also have to do a chargeback to get your money returned.
