Costco 10/18/05 Batman Begins $20.79 Big Lebowski $12 T. Zone s4 $30.89 w/$55.89 prch

Note: Costco's stock varies from store to store, so availability may vary from store to store. Most of the new titles and promotions should be available though.

**NOTE: Some members are reporting different pricing being reported by a few stores (I believe San Francisco, CA and one in New York state). Usually a $1 or so higher. Hopefully they'll go back to national pricing soon, so for now just be aware that it can happen.

There was some confusion in the last thread about the $12 instant off Paramount deal.

It is still in effect. It expires on 12/3.

The price on each DVD is listed at $24.99 (price may vary in certain Costcos). The $12 off will show up at the register.

The packaging says you have to buy another title (any one with the same item number) but that is incorrect. You will get the $12 off on every single Paramount title you buy that has the item numbers I listed above in the Deals section.

Thanks to Ashirg for the title correction on Once Upon a Time in America. And to jimbean for the price on Showboat.

Thanks as always for the update Blade. Sorry that they don't have Batman box or the Adventures of Superman.

Anybody know of any upcoming coupons during the holiday season ?

Yep this is correct I just picked up Hogan's Heroes last night and the sale was still working. I wish I could find Macgyver S1, Happy Days S1, and Laverne & Shirley S1!!

Thanks for the Costco updates.

My Costco just got a load of the Universal Legacy editions of Dracula, Wolf Man, Frankenstein, Mummy, etc for around $16 each. Now if they will only two-pack them, then we will be in business.

Costco's Paramount TV sale is amazing!!

I scored all 3 seasons of Taxi and Laverne & Shirley for $50.

I may go back and pick up a few sets of shows I wouldn't have bought otherwise.

Great bargain!! Thanks!!!

I know what you mean. When I first saw the deal in store (before reading the thread), I thought "well, there is a little ambiguity, but I'm sure it means 'buy 2, get $12 off of the total'". I cosidered the deal at that point, but decided I could pass. After reading the thread, I had to go back. I got MacGyver 3, Hogan's Heroes 1-2, and Mork & Mindy 1. I had a hard time getting just 4 sets, but every dollar I spend now on dvds and games takes away from what I can spend on the next DDD sale. I may have to skip the November sale altogether . Cheers and Frasier were really tempting, but I know if I got one season, I'd have to get them all.

Sorry, I thought the Achiever's Edition came with 2 discs.

I'll edit to make it more clear.

I'll also update the Batman Anthology info. It'll probably show up at my Costco this weekend or next Tues. if it isn't there already. Thanks Fife and Rogue588.

Sweet Baby James, nice stuff! Knew I should have tried purchasing one of those Alias s1 sets. I wonder how long it's been going already. Added to the list.

American Movie Collection $22 (West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof)

I looked at the box for this at Costco and noted that West Side Story is the full screen 1.33 version (it was filmed in Super Panavision), and Guys and Dolls says it is "2.55 anamorphic". Unless it was remastered, I bought Guys and Dolls when it came out, and it is widescreen but not anamorphically enhanced. So if these things matter to you, I would pass on this set.

That sucks. Updated info.

Also, the Alias s1 $12 instant off does work! I knew I should have tested that out when I first saw it on the shelves. I'm guessing it will be good for about 2 months or while supplies last. I'll update the thread info on this too.

Also, they will have a $10 off Alias s4 deal if you buy s2 or 3 ($40ea) at the same time. It says while supplies last. No price on Alias s4 yet (usually it's around $37 if I remember correctly), so I'll post it on Tuesday when I see it. These deals really suck if you pick the sets up when they first come out. Be nice if they'd do something to offset the cost for people who've supported the shows over the years. But such is the DVD pricing game....

Just a heads-up: The $12 off Paramount DVDs disappeared at my local Costco. Yesterday I bought one, and went back to buy a few more today, and the boxes were gone (and there were quite a few). I searched pretty thoroughly, and could not find any. I asked around, but the salespeople were clueless.

I went back to Costco today and picked up the Twilight Zone Season 3 and 4, and the Brady Bunch Seasons 1-3. The Brady Bunch was a release I was sitting on the fence on purchasing, but the $12.99 price was too tempting to pass on. I'm hoping Costco will carry season 4 for the same price when it's released November 1. Also hoping Cheers season 7 and the Andy Grifith Show Season 4 will make it into this sale.
