dvdpricesearch.com reports in store price:

Checkout your local CompUSA to find these deals (reported in Chicago, IL):
George A. Romero's Land of the Dead (DVD, Widescreen) $14.99

Now I'm definitely buying this. Great, great price, and from the online picture, it appears to be the unrated.

Mr. Cinema 10-18-05 07:56 AM

Great price. This beats Best Buy and Circuit City.

Sometimes, but not often, Comp USA has the lower price on selected new releases.

alfonsosoriano 10-18-05 08:03 AM

And thank God I found this out, I was not going to buy it for $18.

dadaluholla 10-18-05 08:18 AM

Wow that is a pretty good price. I have a wal-mart gift card to use so i was going to run in there at lunch to pick LOTD up, but if it is too much there, I might go ahead and get this. Thanks.

Thanks, OP. Nice find.

Yup - every now and then they are a pleasant surprise.

texasgator 10-18-05 09:41 AM

Thanks for the tip! I too was on the fence for this one, but for $15, well I just picked up a copy. (and it is the unrated version that my CompUsa had).

Doug Schiller 10-18-05 12:45 PM

Any deals on Batman Begins? They didn't have a Sunday ad this week.

alfonsosoriano 10-18-05 01:36 PM

So other people can confirm this in stores, right?

Mr. Cinema 10-18-05 01:45 PM

I'm sure it is. Their website allows you to check stock of items in store, but they still have this as a preorder.

mattressman 10-18-05 01:49 PM

Price match here I come!

alfonsosoriano 10-18-05 01:53 PM

Yeah, I noticed that before. Would a store like BB or CC price match this even if there is no flyer?

Mr. Cinema 10-18-05 02:42 PM

Make them call Comp USA.

Confirmed in Nashua, NH.

Price Matched at Circuit City using the printout of the webpage. $14.69 + tax.

Great find OP!

IamLegend 10-18-05 04:12 PM

good price-I paid 19.999 at Hollywood because had giftcard..

DriftChamp 10-18-05 04:15 PM

Thanks, I'm going to pick up a copy at Compusa B&M. I tried to rent it earlier today at Blockbuster, but they didn't have it. They told me Blockbuster wouldn't be carrying it. Anyone know why?

They probably didn't have enough money to pay cash for it. LOL

Sorry I couldn't resist.

alfonsosoriano 10-18-05 04:56 PM

Hmm, my friend who works at Blockbuster said they didn't get it in when they usually get the new releases in. It's pretty odd.

alfonsosoriano 10-18-05 04:57 PM

I gotta try the print out and make them call CompUSA thing...CC and BB are closer to me than CompUSA is, so that'd be better.

Buford T Pusser 10-18-05 06:02 PM

Thanks although I probably won't be near a CompUSA.

Mr. Cinema 10-18-05 06:06 PM

My CompUSA didn't get them in today. :mad2:

alfonsosoriano 10-19-05 07:59 AM

Still not available online...I'll try emailing them later about that.
