For those too lazy to click, its the 2 discer, no tin.

If you're stumped as to what to add to get this deal with free shipping, you might consider this option. . .

The King Kong Collection is $25.99 at amazon and would automatically qualify you for free shipping. In addition to the King Kong 2 Disc set, you get two additional DVDs for $12.01 (25.99 - 13.98): Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young. At $6 a piece, this is a HUGE savings over their regular pre-order prices! For instance, individually, Son of Kong is $13.98; if you figure the math as I've done - you'd save almost $8 on this DVD alone.

I hope this helps someone.

I really want the CE tin though, for the program and poster alone, it's worth it.

I'm also getting the tin, for the repro program.

I had pre-ordered at 27.99 and just saw the price had dropped to 25.99. However, my pre-order was still at 27.99! I cancelled the first pre-order and did a new one at the lower price. So even if the price drops, my pre-order will stay the same price unless I change it? Sheesh.

Not really. You just have to email customer service so they adjust the price. I did that over the weekend and CS adjusted the price to $25.99. There is no need to cancel the order and put up a new one.

Not sure which to get -- the box set or the tin. The collectible booklet and poster would both be nice to have. Any one know if the poster is mini or full size?

I decided that I needed the 4 discer AND the tin. I'm hoping that the 2-disc SE is still sealed inside at least one of them, making it easier to sell or re-gift the duplicate.

Aside from the tin case, mail in for the poster, souvenir program and postcards, are there any differences between the Standard 2-Disc version and the Tin Version? I had heard there was according to DigitalBits, but I can't seem to find any differences as far as content on both versions.

What do you guys think the chances of places like best buy and circuit city having this for $12.99 on release day instead of the usual $15.99, etc? Just wondering if I should wait or not.

King kong is being released Thanksgiving week, is this typically the same week as the DDD sale? Might be something to consider as DDD will price match Bestbuy's price then knock the additional 20% off. But amazon's deal might be hard to beat.

Too late! The Collector's Tin has increased to $25.99, leaving only the Box Set at $20.98. I hadn't placed my order yet, but I was able to convince the CSR to adjust the price back to $20.98

Pre-ordered the Tin when it was $20.98 and added Cinderella in order to get free shipping. Does that mean Cinderella will not ship until Kong does?
