OMG! Finally I have the chance to get OTH! I missed it in the 5.50 sale, and no one wanted to trade it to me! Then I ordered it from Gamestop.com and then after I ordered it, it got cancelled! I woder when BB will go down to these prices! Where is next weeks target ad?

I've checked two local Walmarts and nothing of the sort. Hopefully I can score at Target next week or something. Thanks anyway, OP.

My Walmart,

had a nice selection of stuff. I got S1 of Smallville, Lois and Clark, Law and Order SVU, Nip/Tuck,Mash, and Waltons for 19.99. Thanks for the heads up!

I swung by my local Walmart at lunch and they had quite a few of these out. I picked up Nip/Tuck and the first 2 seasons of The West Wing. The manager of the department noticed me checking out the stand and told me that they weren't supposed to be marked down until next week, but he had them out early since there weren't any new releases in the group. So if your local store doesn't have them maybe try next week.

Do you know when they will? Tarantino works there and said they got a whole bunch of Buena Vista titles in and they were having a price drop on them.

Checked 2 K-Marts in my area, and neither one had a clue as to what I was talking about. One counter-jockey rambled something about K-mart stores having regional ads, so what's on sale at one might not be the same in other areas.

Wally World #1 had nothing, same as last night. Not only that, they have no stickers on the shelves noting the items. #2 still had the same crap as the night before.

Wal-Mart at Durate, CA. on Mountain Rd.
9-28-05

Status: No DVD Sets at $19.99

I visited the store today during the evening and scoured the dvd section and the front registers area, and I found nothing at all. I even checked the box set section and could not find any of the sets on sale on display. I'm not sure what's at work here, but be advised that there aren't any dvds here for now.

Swung by the 4th Wal-Mart in town yesterday and managed to snag the only copy of Lois & Clark S1 they had on the shelf. They also had ELR S1&2, but had no interest in those. Saw some of the other mentioned titles, but none of them were marked down. I'll keep looking since I'm interested in getting Smallville at this price.

Best Buy is always participating in the sale through pricematching, and this is the ideal situation in which to use it. The higher BBs price, the better,
because you will get another 10% of the difference knocked off the K-Mart or WalMart sale price.

Walmart in Chelmsford MA has a display with pretty much everything mentioned here except Law and Order SVU, plus some I didn't hear mentioned here. I saw a western with Steve McQueen, a couple different seasons of Dukes of Hazard, Gilligan 1 & 2 and Season 2 (in addition to 1) of ER.

I picked up Smallville 1 & 2, Everwood, ER S1 and Waltons (for my mother, I swear) for $19.86 each.

Thanks for the heads up.

Best Buy only pricematches local advertised prices. I dont think these are advertised (at least not all of them in the Target ad), and from the looks of it may be permanent markdowns. Best Buy is usually one of the last stores to reprice their DVDs, so be patient (i.e. Alias has been 29.99 for a couple weeks, and i just saw it at BB for 32.99 the other day).

Nope. I meant Buena Vista. We didn't get any extra Warner Bros. sets (not sure if they're Warner Bros., but we didn't get extra Nip/Tuck, Everybody Loves Raymond).

I just called 8 different Kmarts and they ALL were out of Smallville Season 2, infact one rep lady said they sent all of them back, as did Bestbuy & circuit City but that doesn't sound right.....but maybe it's true

Thanks to the original poster. I was able to purchase "Smallville" as a blind buy for $ 19.99 in Walmart. The only other series available for that price was "ER" Season One.

Smallville is pretty awesome, but be forewarned that the season finales tend to be real cliffhangers. You're likely to want to rush out and buy the rest of the seaons

It depends on your taste Gilmore Girls is a great show. One Tree Hill is good also, but it is a teen drama and it may not be your cup of tea. Smallville is Superman as a teenager and a teen drama also. Nip/Tuck is really great.

WalMart in Huntsville, AL (Research Park) has a display outside of the electronics dept. with all the aforementioned titles. Only one small sticker displays the $20 price and it was for the most part untouched. Picked up Smallville S1 and 2 and Nip/Tuck.

So your saying that Smallville 2 is on sale instead of just season 1?

I'm going to pick up Smallville season 2 and Lois and Clark season 1. Maybe ER season 1 too.
