Well i use these mostly for books and comic TPB's so it's a great deal for me.Although I also see that the Stargate SG-1 season sets are $49.99 there,so i will probably get one or two of those @ $35 each with the coupon. Thanks OP.

Do you have to go in the store to get Borders pricing information? I've always known their website to refer you to amazon.com to shop for DVDs because they are partnered. But I'd like to find out what certain items would cost me before I go in.

Hmmm.... I went because I'm apparently the only person who hasn't yet purchased SW: Original Trilogy. Though the "pick up at store" price on that is $59.99, while visiting the store shown on the website (actually all stores within 100 miles show that price) I saw that it was for sale for MSRP, yep, that's right, $69.99.

http://www.bordersstores.com/index.jsp?tt=gn I used this last night when I first saw the coupon and was browsing around to get a gauge on prices. It turned out to be pretty accurate. Hope it helps. |
Like Reynolds said --- look at the "bordersstores" website not Amazon for the correct prices as well as store inventory (which stores have it available is pretty accurate, not 100%, but close enough). I always look at their Borders site when these sales come up to check prices as well as which store, if any have what I want, so I am not running all over.

Picked up Wayne's World: The Complete Epic box yesterday for 10.49 (7.47, actually, because I found a giftcard in an old wallet before I went over there). And then today I went back and picked up The White Stripes: Under Blackpool Lights for 10.49.
I saw Chasing Amy Criterion for 14.99 (10.49 after coupon), so that might be a good deal for someone out there. |
Studio Classics (this is the FOX collection with 4 movies....all about eve, gentleman's agreement, How Green was my valley and Sunrise) is priced at $25.99. After coupon and taxes, it is about $19.50 for me. Less than $5 per movie and Sunrise is only available through this boxset.

I went today, but couldn't find a single thing I was looking for that was cheaper than online once sales tax was added in. Their prices are just downright silly. I was going to get House of Flying Daggers, but it was still cheaper at Target since they wouldn't take the 30% off of the sales price only off the original price of $25.99. I got that at Target for $17.99 and will just wait for the next 20% sale at DDD for the other stuff on my list.

Tales from the Crypt season 1 for $18.89 after coupon....thanks man
|
I got the email and forwarded it to work to print. Sadly it never arrived.
I'll have to try again. |
I got this same coupon on a receipt from Borders in San Diego on Sunday... Definitely a good one. I'll be using it...

When these coupons appear, I usually check items on my wish list (except for things I'll eventually get through CH). I'm happy to report that they have The Twilight Zone: Season 1 (1985-1986) priced at $56.99 instead of $69.99 MSRP. This brings the price down to $39.89. I wanted to get this during the last DDD 20%-off sale, but they didn't add that title until near the end of the sale.

After all the bargains I have picked up on this forum 30% off borders prices isn't all that great, but I expect there to be exceptions and would like to hear of any others find. 20% off DDD prices, that is usually a much better deal.

No, but with this coupon you can shop at Borders and get as good or a slightly better deal than you will find at Best Buy. Plus, Borders has a much deeper selection than the above electronics discounter.
Once your Holiday Savings Account reaches $10, you will be awarded Holiday Savings in increments of $10 that you will be able to use between November 15, 2005 and January 15, 2006. That would be like 50% off of their prices. |

Sure the final price can be beat by online retailers but I got it in hand, no floaters/damage, easier return. |
I used two coupons tonight. The new Russ Meyer bio is now mine.

Thanks to the OP. I grabbed a book today for a nice price.
|
Thanks OP. I found Dick Francis Mysteries (OOP), a 2-disc collection of 3 full length features, for $13.99 + tax, after coupon. It'll be a great gift for my mom. I was hoping (but by no means expecting), to find The Jazz Singer (1980 Neil Diamond Version) for her, since she asked me a while ago to try to track it down. I know, snowball's chance, but if you think that's delusional, I had briefly hoped they might come out with a 25th Anniversary edition. Now, that's delusional.

Good deal. Plus, since nobody buys stuff there much because of the prices, you can get some hard-to-find titles. I recently got The Shawshank Redemption LE (w/book & soundtrack) there, which went OOP not long after it was released. I happened to have a 25% coupon that day, so it beat the heck out of trying to get it on e-bay.
Thanks to the OP for this coupon. The only better deal I've had at Borders is when I had a 25% off coupon during a week when they also had the "buy 3 DVDs, get the 4th free" deal. |
