Costco - Sex & the City/Friends $8.99/season after coupon and rebate

As mentioned in the Costco thread, starting today you can use a coupon to get $10 off each season box set of Sex and the City, making them $18.99 each. But what I didn't know until I bought them today is that there is an additional rebate of $10 per set that prints out with the receipt. You can mail it in or apply for the rebate online at https://costco.onlinerebates.com/step1.aspx (takes about 3 minutes).

This makes each box set an astounding $8.99 each. Awesome deal!!

I think this might also apply to the Friends season sets as well, since the rebate name on the receipt is "DVD/FRNDCITY". The coupon has no limit but the rebate is limited to 99 rebates per person (aw shucks .

There is also an additional rebate on the other TV sets besides Sex and Friends. I bought Lois and Clark and the Complete Office as well as 2 seasons of Friends. The non Friends rebate says DVD/WHV TV.. This is also $10.

We already have all of the Sex and the City seasons, but I was planning on picking up the last couple seasons of Friends with that coupon to fill out our collection. That would be an added bonus if the rebate applies to Friends as well!

so about this rebate....what do you have to send in to apply for it? I ask because.....the Friends dvd sets qualify for the Warner rebates, buy 2, get 10, buy , get 20....all the way to get 50. So if you can work them all, 5 sets will be pretty much FREE?
(if thats the case, i need to join Costco finally)

Incredible deal! Thanks for the heads up. I sent in my rebates for Friends but it didn't say I got $10 off EACH set. Actually no total at all was brought up.

If you do the rebate on line you don't have to send anything. Your Costco receipt will have a rebate form. Go on costco.com . Click on the rebate button and follow the instructions. You will need your Costco card number and information on rebate form including cashier number, transaction number, the warehouse number. and date of purchase

If you apply by mail, you have to send the receipt in. But if you apply via the web link (https://costco.onlinerebates.com/step1.aspx), you send nothing at all in! So I guess you could combine it with that additional rebate. Total cost...free ninety nine! :-) Or close enough anyway.

So just to see if I am reading this right...the $10.00 rebate that prints out on the Costco receipt is IN ADDITION to the WB rebate and the $10.00 off coupon applied at the register??? If so, this is an amazing deal on many sets!

Where can we get the WB rebate? I saw it on the outside of the SITC sets but not the Friends sets.

No costcos around here. Would someone be willing to hook me up with Sex and the City season Six Part Two?

I don't think you can just pick this up from the store. If you're a Costco member, you should have received it in the mail (part of Costco Passport).

Actually, if you ask for one at the membership desk, chances are they have extras. That's what I did. I'm not sure why I didn't get one in the mail, so I just told them that and they handed me a coupon book.

That's correct. Although there is some debate on the fat wallets message board about whether WB will honor the rebate for sets purchased at Costco that are already getting the other discounts. Which I guess technically is okay for them to do since the fine print on their rebate says not valid with any other offers. So I guess the WB rebate isn't 100%, but the coupon and Costco rebate are, so worst case scenario is still $8.99 a set.

i get one even though i'm not a Costco member

anyway, you can always ask the CS desk, and they could give you one. YMMV.

Can we really use this? It says that we must submit the ORIGINAL Offer Certificate (not a copy) together with the original UPCs, etc. Can a printout be considered as original? Please advise. Thanks!
