Kellogg's & Target $5 off an MGM DVD

Target has double packs of Kellogg's cereal. There's a coupon in it for $5.00 off selected MGM Titles at Target only. The selected cereals I saw it in are Mini-Wheats, Rice Krispies and Apple Jacks. There might be more.

The MGM titles that the coupon works for are:

Agent Cody Banks
Agent Cody Banks 2
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang SE
A Chorus Line
Fiddler on the Roof
Good Boy!
The Graduate
The Greatest Story Ever Told
Hoosiers CE
The Manchurian Candidate
Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids
The Princess Bride SE
Return to Me
Rocky
Saved!
The Secret of NIMH
Spaceballs CE

Coupon expires 9/26/05

it's $9.99 at most places anyway so in essence, it'll be about $5 + Tax.

I just had a great trip to Target.

First of all, all of these 2-packs are now $4.24 instead of $4.99. So it's three quarters more incentive to get the coupon.

I happened to find a Spaceballs CE in the slot on the shelf which apparently is supposed to have the old version. (There was no slot for the CE with the $19.99 price.) So directly underneath the CE the price read $9.99, and they had to honor it for me. It wasn't even difficult either, the lady just called up Electronics, they checked the shelf, and then they agreed it was $9.99. I bought some Raisin Bran 5 minutes earlier so I had the coupon ready. Spaceballs CE for $4.99. Definitely a YMMV but you may want to check out the situation at your store.

I was at Hagerstown MD, but there were no copies left.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to see if they have the cereal and Spaceballs CE.

They had Saved on sale for $7.50.

So I ended up with two boxes of my favorite cereal and a movie I was going to at least rent anyway for less than $7 total.

I was able to buy the DVD, cereal, and use the coupon all in one transaction.

Does anyone know what stores excepts competitors coupons? These target coupons don't expire until Sept 26, but Targets only have The Princess Bride and Saved. No sooner then they come out with the coupons, they dumped all the rest.

CC is supposed to accept all competitor coupons. I use the various BB gift card coupons there all the time.

Kellogg's has another MGM promotion running for a free DVD with 5 UPCs from participating products:
http://www.kelloggsmovies.com/promotions/mgmdvd/

I received The Man in the Iron Mask last week. It was basically an MGM promo DVD (three minutes of forced trailers, full screen movie, no bonus features). The back of the envelope-like artwork included a $2 coupon off a future MGM special edition.
