Carnival of Souls pre-release signed by Mike Nelson $13

Features a commentary track by him, too. (he's from MST3K, for the uninformed)

The extended B&W cut of the film is also included in this DVD. I just bought the non-autographed version at DDD for $4.79.

I did this as a blind buy (the Criterion Version). I watched the directors cut and thought it was excellent!

I watched the version that came in the 50-movie horror pack that DDD sells. I thought it was pretty entertaining for an older, low budget horror film. Definitely worth it if its been restored and only $5.

It's not really a pre-release since it came out 3 months ago.

When you toss in shipping, it's closer to $18... but still not bad for an autographed copy.

The same could be said for any threadcrap. This thread is making people aware of a sale. Some guy comes in and says, "what the crap that movie sucked balls." That's a threadcrap. I could "warn against a blind buy" by talking shit about any DVD or sale that's ever posted about on these forums:

"Bambi for $9.99 at Best Buy."
"What? That movie sucked harder than Jenna Jameson."
"Uh, threadcrap?"
"No, no...he was just warning against a blind-buy."

Different forum and first post started off with the disclaimer that it was a blind-buy that he would probably buy, thus opening the door for discussion of whether it was a safe blind-buy or not.

I think in general some people on this forum are a bit too quick to call any negative post a thread cap. This post was about a DVD release, a poster said he purchased said DVD on a blind buy and found the DVD to be boring. That post then acts as a warning to others considering a blind buy of the DVD in the original post. It was on topic. If the topic was, Ten things you like about carnival of souls, then yes his post would have been a threadcrap, but a warning about blind buys in a thread about a DVD release, really isn't.

Here's a cheap copy of this movie so you can decide if you like it or not...
