CC is free shipping on everything when purchase $25 or more, as I recall. (unlike BBuy)

D'Oh! Looks like it came out 5/31. Didn't see any ads then either.

Crud...gonna have ta pay "the week after" prices now...

Mark Holtz 06-03-05 03:28 PM

The $49.99 price on X Files is good until 7/4. When I picked up S7, I noticed that the end date on the promo display said that.

Isn't Rock N Rule supposed to be coming out during this week?

thriftyrocker 06-03-05 04:10 PM

Wasn't expecting a good price on Wanted: Dead or Alive. Didn't get one:(

The release week prices should be good through tomorrow. I would check the thread for this week's ads and get moving!

Just picked up Rebel Without A Cause SE 2-disc for 16.99 at Target. Price good until 6/4 I believe

The Monkees 06-03-05 05:50 PM

I hope Seed of Chucky is going to be $14.99 at CC that would be great!

Willh51 06-03-05 08:38 PM

Big week for me.

Be Cool
Seed of Chucky Unrated
Gone in 60 Seconds
Sling Blade
Stripes Extended

Dane Marvin 06-03-05 10:20 PM

Sling Blade SE for $12.99? Sold!

Artman 06-04-05 12:08 AM

Only one I'm interested in is Tears of the Sun DC. But including tax it's already cheaper at DDD, I'll probably just wait for their next sale to sweeten the deal.

You can download this catalog on BestBuy.com.

Scroll down to the spring catalog and you can download the book.

Big Worms 06-05-05 03:54 PM

Thanks for the link! Big question is that you think BB will take the printed coupons?

Gizmo 06-05-05 04:18 PM

So, no idea on Dead Zone whatsoever? Boo

BassDude 06-07-05 11:38 AM

Bump. Since today's releases fell off the first page.

(Bargains thread cut off at only one page? I had ta search instead of clicking on 'page 2')

bookcase3 06-07-05 11:45 AM

Circuit City saved me a lot of money today: Sopranos 5 $10 cheaper than Best Buy and X-Files Mythology $5 cheaper than Best Buy... The irony lies in the fact that I had Best Buy pricematch both.

Gizmo 06-07-05 03:57 PM

Picked up Seed of Chucky, Dead Zone season 3 ($28.99) and the new Coldplay CD today at Best Buy

darmok 06-07-05 04:42 PM

my local Bestbuy and Target did not have the Tears of the Sun Extended today. was this postponed? also, the Target copies of Stripes came with a slipcase, while the copies at the Bestbuy did not; don't know if this is an isolated case.

I purchased both today at Best Buy, Tears of the Sun was in the action section with none on the new release wall. Also my Stripes from Best Buy came with a slip case.

EDIT: If you plan on purchasing both use the $2.00 off 2 coupon found on the orange movie gift cards.

Manzana 06-07-05 10:49 PM

I contemplated getting Tears of the Sun, but after reading a review which said they dropped the commentary tracks in order to add the deleted scenes, I decided not to because newer and better additions should not drop significant extras (in my opinion).

I only bought Stripes for $12.99 and Monty Python and the Holy Grail SE for $4.99. Apparently I was the first person to use the DVD Insider coupon for $10 off. In fact, I had to ask for the DVD Insider magazine which they hadn't bothered to put out for anyone. I also asked if I could pricematch the Collector's Edition to Walmart for $19.96 and also get $10 off, and exactly as I expected I was told no, but I always ask.

What/where are the orange movie cards that give $2 off if you buy both Tears of the Sun and Stripes? Perhaps for $10.99 I might reconsider Tears of the Sun.

Best Buy has several varieties of gift cards, the locations of which can vary from store to store (but near the checkouts is a good place to look). On the backs of some varieties are different coupons, some good for videogames, these are good for dvds. You buy the gift card by putting whatever amount of money you want on it, and that is how you get the coupon. I believe, however, that this particular coupon requires that your purchase be 2 dvds at $14.99 or more each, so Stripes would not qualify.

I've had no trouble using the coupons for movies below $14.99, including sale prices.
