*Offer valid through 6/19/05, in stores only. Not available in the Fresno-Visalia, Indianapolois, Minneapolis-St. Paul, or Tampa-St. Petersburg areas. Least expensive item is free. Multiple-DVD sets count as one item. Excludes previous and online purchases. Some offers, prices, and products may not be valid at Borders Express stores. See your local Borders Express for details.

So does this mean we can use the 25% off coupon on top of the B3G1F promotion? If so, this could make for some cheap Criterions..

Nope. It can be combine with other coupons when the coupon says so. The 10% off everything is not working anymore and there was a 15% off everything until 5/31, but that was extended until 6/30 and can't be combined anymore. If somebody could scan and host the 15% off everrything coupon that was going around, it would be gladly appreciated.

Actually, I misread the 25% off coupon anyways, and thought it was off the entire purchase. Guess I'll just wait for a certain unmentionable summer sale to pick up any expensive box sets or Criterions.

Would they pricematch to the 1/2 price X-files sets?

When you say that the 10%-off coupon is not working, do you mean that they won't take it? Because the page itself loads fine.

Its not loading on my computer and it takes me to an error page not found. For some reason it loaded when I posted it but then it just went down.

Bumping thread to remind of the 25% off coupon expiring today.

Also a small rant:
Borders is now selling most new releases for $22.99 instead of the usual $19.99 and Criterions and other art house DVDs and Special Editions at their full MSRP. I know over 20 stores (online and B&M) that sell these with a 20% to 35% and sometimes even 40% off their retail price. I don't know how Borders will keep doing business when they don't have competitive prices and there are many other choices to get the DVDs people want, being mainstream or obscure films. They are going to lose more business that when Amazon decided to stop the Share the Love discount and seeing how many Sam Goody, FYE, and K-Marts around my area have closed by not keeping up with the competitive prices, i don't see how Borders is going to last.

Whew!!!

dx23: I feel your pain. I used to get a lot of catalog items at Borders. 19.95 list DVDs were always $14.99 and I've picked up quite a few there using various 15-25% off coupons/discounts. In the last few months, however, Iíve noticed more and more things, including the aforementioned Criterions, being priced at full M.S.R.P. As such, I've pretty much stopped shopping there (I get most of my DVDs online or at Costco, anyway)...and with a new BestBuy opening only a few miles from their Eugene location, I'm sure many others in my area are shopping elsewhere as well.

And they still are, at least at my local Borders (in the new Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle). I picked up four titles for $48.84 total ($11.25 each plus tax).

I'm wondering if this is be a regional thing. If you check prices at their website (http://www.bordersstores.com), you will see that many catalog titles, particularly Paramount releases, are listed at M.S.R.P., with the disclaimer "In-store prices may vary. See your local store for the most up-to-date pricing."

Not always. I used to pick up most of Warners' single-disc releases at the Borders in Durham/Chapel Hill because, even with just a 10%-off coupon, the final cost would be lower than nearly any online retailer, despite the sales tax. But The Sea Hawk had the full $19.95 MSRP listed, and I've yet to pick it up -- probably in my next online purchase. I hope it's not a permanent sign of what's to come, or I'll just stop buying DVDs there altogether.
