I thought Mezzo was a lot of fun lots of action, cute girl with a gun kind of thing - there is a prequel called "Mezzo Forte" that has a few explicit scenes, unlike the series. But I don't think the events of the prequel have any impact on the storyline until the 3rd and last disc of the series. On the flip-side I could not stand Giant Robo, I think I got through about two episodes before giving up. I found it too disjoint and it just seemed like it was written with way too many cliches. I hear, but have not yet seen myself, that Get Backers is pretty entertaining too. Don't know if missing the first disc will hurt the experience.

I was in BB a few weeks ago and noticed it was indeed the tin that is 22.99. Thought about picking it up then, but passed for some reason. Might grab it tonight.

Oh, and I just checked the prices... Looks like BB changed the price on the SH EA, so I got rid of that one.

BB has decided to be killjoys. Quite a few of the titles have now gone up in price. The $6.99 titles are now $9.99. Quite a few of the $11.99 titles are now $19.99(Azumanga 6, Divergence 1, Parasite Dolls among others) and the Dai-Guard brick is now $36.99.

Yeah, I see that. Should I just leave the list the way it is--Perhaps the prices haven't been adjusted in store yet?

I would leave the list as is until someone reports that the prices have also gone up at the B&M. You probably should put a warning in your first post about the prices since I know that some members have to drive a long way to get to their nearest BB.

I would recommend trying the local stores. My gf just picked me up a dvd from the BB store here and it was the lower price (it was not anime though). She said the anime section was a mess so she only spent a minute or two looking for the main boxsets I was hoping to get. She couldn't find any of the titles I wanted.
