Are there any dvds (sets or singles) worth picking up that make this worthwhile? Borders' prices for dvds are usually a good 25% above most online retailers anyway.

It all really depends what you are looking for. Prices are very similar to Amazon.com, especially in single older releases. And there is also a lot of out of print stuff like the James Bond Boxsets that you can later sell on ebay.

I usually only go to Borders for Criterions, with a 25% coupon prices might be up to $3-5 cheaper than online, but a few dollars doesn't concern me. I'm just more the type who likes to actually see the product before buying it, and Borders is basically the only store here that has a good selection of CCs. They have a pretty fair selection of foreign films that are well-priced too.

To clarify, the 25% off coupon is for one regular item.
The 10% off coupon can be used for sale items and promotions.

I picked up Hell's Angels for $10.54, which includes tax. Granted DDD has it for $9.35, but the price beats all the other etailers and I have it now.

YMMV - be careful with the 25% coupon as some stores are saying that DVD's area electronics and therefore only 10% off. I used the 25% coupon at one store for a DVD and they took off 25%, no questions or hassles. The same day went to a different store and they said DVD's are 10%. The cashier called the manager on the phone and then returned saying that the manager would give it to me for 25% off because of the "mix-up that Borders does not label their coupons well enough." I mentioned that other Borders coupons have actually said 10% for DVD's explicitly, but this did not, and that previous 25% coupons, worded the same way, have also worked for 25% off DVD's.

Be careful and check their math !

Thanks. I might go pick up some books now that Amazon doesn't discount most books anymore.

When I purchased a DVD using the coupon, I got a coupon good for 30% off the regular price of one book from 4/28 to 5/1.

I got the same coupon when I used it to purchase a book tonight. That's a pretty good deal, so I think I'm going to have to go back and get something else to add to the summer reading list.
