I've already got All About Eve; I've had my eye on Day the Earth Stood Still. Someone want to recommend two others that'd probably interest me?

The Diary of Anne Frank
The Snake Pit
The Grapes of Wrath
The Song of Bernadette

... in that order.

Anyone care to recommend what NOT to get?

The Grapes of Wrath
The Ox-Bow Incident

2 GREAT performances by the one and only Henry Fonda!

I'll probably wind up with all three films Fonda's in on this list; I've been looking to pick up more of his films, but only have 12 Angry Men and Once Upon a Time in the West at the moment. Excellent deal, since if you buy five, you're basically getting one of them for free.

When I tried putting in the 3 new releases, Razor's Edge, Best of Everything, and Anna and the King of Siam the $5 discount did not show up. How do you add it?

The discount showed up for me automatically when I added those three titles to my cart.

Can you combine this with the 10% off email code off of a 50.00 purchase?

You could always try it if you had the coupon. However I assume it wouldn't work since a discount is already being applied to the items as they are added to your cart. I think the discount is already like a coupon and couldn't be stacked with another coupon.

I went the whole enchilada and bought ten -- it worked out at $7.83 a DVD -- that's over half off the retail. Got some nice classics, plus could afford to take a chance on a couple I've never seen. Thanks Deep Discount!

FYI, I emailed ddd about when the sale ends and they replied:
This online promotion expires at the end of the business day on 4/24/05.
Again, thank you for writing DeepDiscountDVD.com. We appreciate your business.

Grapes of Wrath?

Anyway, Leave Her to Heaven is a film-noir if you really want one.

This can't be the best deal around... I remember Sam's Club had these for around $8 each a couple weeks ago. I'm heading over there tonight, so I'll verify that.

EDIT: Nevermind, it probably is a better deal than Sam's Club...

I was planning on collecting all of these and can't believe that I'm now 16 titles behind.

Ahh, the harsh realities of graduating college in two weeks and having to fend for myself: I can't afford to take advantage of this sale! I'd love to pick up a few of these, especially A Letter to Three Wives and Leave Her to Heaven, but alas, I am forced to pass.

I have all the Studio Classics except My Darling Clementine & Return to Peyton Place. Guess I'll have to buy those 2 and sell the other one.
