I really liked the movie. Not sure if I would pick it up though. Probably used or in a trade though.

$30 & $40 suggested retail? Who's been doing crack in the pricing department?

cupon 03-31-05 09:54 PM

shipping kills it

bboisvert 03-31-05 09:57 PM

$40 retail for the 2-disc edition? Umm... yeah. Fuck that.

I thought about getting this for my daughter but at those prices I think the library's copy will do just fine.

Wait for 2 for $15 bargain bins...

l_xtopher_l 04-01-05 12:11 AM

I enjoyed the movie and planned to buy the DVD, but not at another $30-40 "I Heart Huckabees" price. Adding $10 to the price just for one extra disc isn't worth it for me.

story 04-01-05 12:12 AM

What is up with that price? I want to punch that price in the face.

cmatherne 04-01-05 12:58 AM

At least we know where the studios are getting the $20 million to pay Carrey for his movies.

JeffreyLebowski 04-01-05 01:31 AM

Thanks for the heads up! Just ordered one. $22 for a two-disc set isn't all that bad, especially for a movie that I enjoyed.

Considering I generally dislike Carrey's movies I'm going to rent this one first because it atleast looked interesting, more so than his usual drivel ;)

A9 discount?

TOLEN 04-01-05 02:13 PM

Just checked www.costco.com They have the 2-disc version for $19.49. They show a list price of $29.99, which makes a lot more sense than $39.99.

Nice find, TOLEN! I was really wanting this 2disc set, but didn't wanna pay the $25.00 that most stores would probably be asking.. Thanks again!

You can get a discount equivalent to Pi/2 % if you use their A9 search engine enough. There are a few threads in the Store Forum on it and I think one in the Bargains Forum.

I'll consider it when it's $1.99 or less.

squaresoft7 04-02-05 09:39 AM

Crickets comment was great, as was the F. one. Good thread for levity. But i will be interested to see the B&M prices on the release for this.

qpid 04-02-05 10:12 PM

I'll see what BB has this for, I enjoyed the movie more so than any of those Harry Potter movies
