Best Buy in Burbank is not putting the DVDs out until tomorrow (Tuesday).

I just wasted my time and gas to find that my Best Buy is also doing this... man i was pissed! No where in the circular does it state that these will be available on Tuesday the 29th.

yes! it doesn't really have anything to do about when it comes out. i just want the extra disc to go with the eventual DVD release. it is like a bonus dvd with content that will most likely not be able to get anywhere else at any time.

stopped by my bestbuy this afternoon. no sin city setup anywhere. i asked two employees, and they said the discs would be out on Tuesday morning along with the week's new releases. why can't bb be more consistent with their release schedule?

Picked mine up this morning. Just put it in to my good 'ole reliable Toshiba SD-3109 and got a disc error. Tried it in the dvd drive of my comp and it worked fine. It was a good preview.

My Best Buy did not have it out yet either. I had two dvd's in my hand and asked for one so they went into the back and got it for me.

I made a point of thanking him.

I guess they are not going to put them out till tuesday either.

i saw 2 displays set up as if it were a new release with all the other new releases from last week and coming tomorrow, probably had 15 or so in each.

the only thing i don't quite like is the cardboard that the disc sits in seems very scratch conducive. hopefully it will last until the actual DVD release months from now so i can add it in there.

Phew. I was so worried they'd be all gone today. I went yesterday like a moron thinking it wouldn't be closed because of this thread title (seriously, not trying to be rude or point the finger--besides, I should've checked the ads). Asked about it at the check out line today and snagged one.

Had none out at the one I went to either. I asked the cashier if they had any, however and she called the manager. He went into the back and came back with one and handed it to me, no other purchase necessary.

For those who got the preview discs, did you have to buy something to get the disc? In the past, my local BestBuy sometimes gave the preview discs out for free.

I went to the Broomfield, Colorado store to find the Sin City preview disc. I couldn't find it displayed anywhere. I flagged down a person in the "media" department, and she kindly looked it up on the computer. The computer said it was to be displayed on March 27. However, according to the Best Buy person, "That can't be right, because we were closed yesterday. But anyway, it says it's displayed in the Folk section of the music CDs. Follow me." So I followed her to the CD section. Guess what? This free DVD preview disc wasn't in the Folk CD section!! Can you believe that?

So she said, "Well, the Sin City DVD is on the same page as the new releases, so that must mean that it won't be available until tomorrow. The computer must be wrong when it says to display it on March 27 - after all, it was wrong about displaying it in the Folk CD section, right? And anyway, we were closed yesterday, so the computer must have meant to display it on March 29."

Me: "Do you have any in the back?"

Best Buy person: "We can't release it until tomorrow. And anyway... we won't receive a shipment until tomorrow." [too busy to check in the back, I guess]

So I went to the Customer Service desk. Same story. Won't be displayed until Tuesday, with the new releases. "See?", the customer rep says, pointing to the ad, "It's on the page with the new releases! Can't you see that? It's all one big page! Anything on this page can't be released until Tuesday."

I had a couple of DVDs that I was gonna purchase, but I left them at the Customer Service desk and walked out.

Oh well.

I called a BB I was going to be near and they said they were out. So I went and grabbed one and went to the checkout.

The girl said "I think you have to buy something to get this." and turned to the other cashier who said "those are free. just give it to him". I said to ring it up and see what happened cuz I thought it would be one penny. Sure enough I paid her .01.
