Star Trek: First Contact $12.84 @ WalMart YMMV

I've been itching to get the special collectors edition of Star Trek First Contact ever since I heard it was coming. And when I got it today at WalMart, I paid less than I expected.

$12.84. What a price! For a brand new, two-disc release! It's like, what, $15 at "Best" Buy for release week?

Great movie, great deal. I hope it's widespread, and not just this particular WalMart.

Got it for $12.99 at Circuit City. They only had about 7 on the shelf. Don't know if there are more in the back or not.

Uh, yeah.. The new gray version that says "Special Collector's Edition", is twice as thick as the standard DVD case, and contains 2 DVD's.

Wal*Mart's "regular" price on this is $13.84. However, since there is a CC nearby, my local Wal*Mart beats the price automatically. CC was $12.99, so I was surprised that they went $12.34. Typically they beat a $12.99 with a $12.87 or something like that...

Sam's in Macon, Georgia has the new edition for $11.47. All other Trek movies were at this price also.

I got it for $8.49US shipped from DVD Soon (not here yet but it's been shipped and will arrive any day; yeah, I know, DVD Soon is slow, they charge your card when you buy, there might be a French word on the package, they are the very devil, yadda, yadda, yadda). Did I mention I got it for $8.49?

I finally found this today at my local Wal-Mart, after both BB and CC were out. I paid, $13.84, but i didn't care. Just glad to have it in hand.

Weird that all the CC & BB were out of this title here too. They told me they sold out the first day & didn't know if they were going to be getting any more. Finally found mine at Wally World too (they had 3 left).
