Incredibles at CC or BB...hmm....

TheHan 03-07-05 10:59 PM

Come Thursday, once TSD updates with the BB and Target prices, I'll update this thread. Hopefully, we can all get a better idea of where to purchase The Incredibles.

TheHan 03-10-05 08:05 AM

Now updated with BB, Target and TRU prices. Can a mod change the thread title to reflect that? Thanks.

Big Worms 03-10-05 08:56 AM

Thanks TheHan... looks like BB for The Incredibles since I am a RZ member.

fumanstan 03-10-05 09:46 AM

Do you think Pocahontas SE will also be $14.99 or less or do the temporary price drops have a stated time limit which ends before its May release?

[cynicism on] As I already bought Mary Poppins for around $14 and preordered Bambi/The Incredibles from Buy.com for $32.xx (minus a $10 rebate if it comes through), I have been expecting prices to be extra-low on all 3 of these, and so far that has been true. I even heard that some Targets had Mary Poppins for $10. I don't know if it's worth upgrading my Gold Collection Bug's Life to the CE for $11.99. Since I haven't preordered Pocahontas SE, however, does anyone want to take a wild guess that it will be $15.99 or $17.99 without any freebies thrown in like Bambi (Thumper doll) or The Incredibles (lithograph), and that it will just miss the temporary price drops. I hope I'm wrong. I passed on Aladdin 2 & 3 and Mulan 2 waiting for lower prices (because they are more mediocre titles) and of course there haven't been any super deals on those.[/cynicism off]

I did that last year when Costco had the CE for about that price. You can trade in the Gold Collection A Bug's Life for $7-8, so I felt for only $5-6 extra it was worth the upgrade. Not only do you get a disc of extras you also get an anamorphic widescreen version of the movie.

Cameron 03-10-05 02:28 PM

just keep both disc...

If TRU is 15.99 for icredibles then hopes are BB will beat them by a dollar.

Best Buy will have The Incredibles for $15.99. Circuit City will have it for $14.99

Cameron 03-10-05 03:41 PM

looks like a circuit city ad will make its way into best buy for a price match (Gotta get those RZ points)...don't forget to pay in two dollar bills guys and gals...

Jim, where can a person trade in A Bug's Life CE for $7-$8?

The most local stores here give is $4 cash on any title except box sets get a little more. Our Blockbusters never do the nice trade-in deals. In fact, I don't think Blockbusters here will even buy used movies. Gamestop had the best deal with the 3-for-1 trade-in, but they effectively have discontinued that by offering no titles I want. I'm always looking for some way to get rid of old DVDs for $5 each or better. Ebay is no better than a retailer unless the title is special or rare or you are very lucky. (And I'm very unlucky. My last Ebay sale was a rare LD I got $50 for, and the same buyer turned around and re-sold my LD a month later for over $160.)
