I should have tried this one. I tried using the $5 off Walgreens coupon and no one would take or coupon match it.Did you resize this coupon to make it smaller than the above scan or just used the same size? It seems kinda large still.

hondo21 03-01-05 12:51 PM

All I did was save the $3 Bambi coupon image file to my harddrive, edit it with Irfanview (free image editing/viewing software). Resized it to 50% of original size, cropped off the Tide ad, copy/pasted into a blank Word file (that step really isn't necessary, but it gave me an idea of physical size). Then I printed it here at work on a quality color laser printer and cut it out. It was roughly the same size as the originals in the Disney coupon booklets, maybe a little bigger.

I just got back from using the coupon successfully at Target. It scanned fine there. The bar code on mine was quite sharp and clear so maybe others printed it at a lower resolution so that the scanners had trouble (?).

Thanks again for posting the coupon.

Another Best Buy success here, although it wouldn't scan. Cashier just entered it manually. I printed it out on a color laser printer at the original size.

My local Best Buy argues about legitimate price matches with the circular in hand, so I didn't even attempt to take in the coupon. Three dollars vs. sanity -- I opted for the latter.

Slightly off topic, but did anyone else's Bambi come with velcro to hold the cover to the rest of the outside case, or that gum/glue? Mine had only the glue, which I find rather odd (and cheap).

Resized coupon to about 5 x 7 and printed it out, and cut around the edges.

Took it to Target, cashier scanned without a second thought and went through as easy as could be.

Just the glue. I checked them all. I guess Disney is cheaping out since they are now releasing 2 Platinum Editions a year now.

And another Best Buy sucess with the coupon here. Except Best Buy takes the coupon off after tax is charged on the full amount. I just thought about it this way: I got the Thumper plush for $.26. I fell better then. lol

I had success with a B&W printout of the coupon at WalMart. $11.24 + tax.

My cover had velcro holding the flap to the body of the case.

Thanks OP.

Anyone tried this at Blockbuster... I've got a bunch of credit built up there from GameRush deals and was wondering if it was worth the trip???

Yes, it worked fine at my local TRU. I couldn't tell whether she scanned it or she manually adjusted the price, but they did accept it. Thank you, OP :)

So no cashiers have made a fuss about the "No reproduction" clause on the coupon?

runner001 03-01-05 02:52 PM

for those that had no problems at BB with this coupon, did you go to the cashier or the returns/exchange area?

Lamont 03-01-05 02:59 PM

I just pasted it into word and resized it there...used it at WM and got it for 11.98 plus tax.
Awesome deal...many many thanks to the poster who scanned to coupon.

My cashier barely even looked at the coupon. She just took it and immediately swiped the bar code in front of the scanner. It worked and that was all there was to it.

I purposely picked her because she looked too old to read the fine print anyway :), but with most coupons having bar codes these days I really think most cashiers just run them through and don't bother reading them.

thriftyrocker 03-01-05 04:14 PM

My BB cashier (normal cashier, no need to go to customer service) entered it manually without trying to scan it.

No velcro on mine. Just a small gummy circle which I guess I'll just throw away.

Shap 03-01-05 04:16 PM

Best Buy rejected the coupon. First because they said the free Thumper stuffed animal was a special promotion so the coupon didn't apply, then after I said I didn't want the stuffed animal, they changed their minds and said their sale price was the special promotion. I smell a lot of BS here. Guess I'll try Wal-Mart.

EDIT: Wal-Mart went perfectly. Cashier didn't look twice and I was in and out in under 3 minutes.

apeyard 03-01-05 04:24 PM

B&W printout worked for me at Best Buy. (Mira Mesa, CA) It scanned and then the cashier even read the fine print.

Also got the Thumper.

good, so it's not just me that was discriminated against! they gave me the same BS! sale price=speical promotion = no coupon. CRAP!

Here is a rotated (I know it is still off a little but I don't have time to mess with it) and cropped version, keeping the same size and a smaller one for those that don't have editing software.

Hope this saves people from doing the same steps all over the place and much thanks to the original poster and original scanner.

After calling another employee, then a manager, then taking it into a closed room near the registers, my Best Buy cashier came back and said it could not be used because 1) it was a copy, and 2) they would not have accepted it on the special sale (w/the bunny).

Oh well - it was worth a try.

Decker 03-01-05 05:02 PM

No problems for me at BB. Bambi PE + Thumper doll for $12.99. Coupon scanned in, but cashier had to manually apply it.

Thanks to OP

thunnus 03-01-05 06:39 PM

Color printout of coupon worked without a hitch at my local BB (Oceanside, CA). Didn't scan but cashier had no problem typing in the discount. Also got Thumper. Thanks for scan!

Dabaomb 03-01-05 06:49 PM

coupon didn't work at the Times Square Toys R Us because they said that it was a copy.

Cameron 03-01-05 07:43 PM

worked for me at best buy....got the thumper....and all bambi dvds have the glue...no velcro....noticed it in a store last week who broke street...same in a few others i frequent

JiM T 03-01-05 10:14 PM

Coupon worked at BB, but i was told immediately by the checkout girl that I could either use the coupon or get the bunny, but not both. I chucked the bunny, and saved the $3. Thanks for posting it!
