(DEAD) Shark's Tale $9.99 at eCost.com (others are $9.99 too!)

It's listed for $12.99 here with a shopping cart special. When you add it to your cart, it shows as $9.99.

Also, as Admiral Ackbar mentioned in this thread, they have a buy two, get the third one free (after rebate) deal going on too.

edit
I also saw Shrek 2 , Elf , Dodge Ball , Starkweather and Taxi - Extended for $9.99.

Bill Geiger 02-24-05 11:31 PM

Mickey Black & White Vol 2 is also on the cheap!

D.Pham5GLTE (>60GB) 02-24-05 11:35 PM

pilot 02-24-05 11:49 PM

Without a Paddle, The Forgotten, Shaun of The Dead, among others, is cheap ($9.99 each)..I just picked up Without a Paddle, Dodgeball for $29.97, $9.95 back, like $20 for 3 of em, would pay $63 in change at DDD...

pilot 02-24-05 11:50 PM

added (others are $9.99 too!) to topic.

Don't forget if you buy any 3 dvds, you qualify for a rebate up to $19.99 that you can print right off the page!

dvdman84 02-25-05 12:13 AM

Note that the $14.99 Mickey Mouse in B&W Vol 2 is showing "Call Us" for availability, meaning "This product is not currently available for shipment from any of our warehouse locations. Please contact one of our account managers for an estimated arrival date." So who knows if it will be back in stock at this price. Anyone have experience with eCost when this happens?

kenbenobi 02-25-05 12:16 AM

Awesome! I got Forgotten, Without a Paddle, and Sharks Tale. I took Mickey B&W2 as well, but I have a feeling it will get cancelled (since it said CALL US)... But they don't hold up orders until everything are available, so it doesn't hurt to try... And no handling fees (like the last time I ordered from them). AWESOME!!!

dollfins1 02-25-05 12:21 AM

did you guys get charged a handling fee? (3.95)
still a good deal tho. pdf doesn't say anything about cutting upc's (whew)
got
shaun of the dead
excorcist ii
sid & nancy
micky mouse b & w
for 42.21 before rebate

cynthia 02-25-05 12:22 AM

Be careful with that rebate, gang.

Mail- in Rebate Guidelines:
· Buy any 3 DVD Movies and qualify for up to a $19.99 mail- in rebate. Rebate amount will be equivalent to the lowest price DVD purchased, not to exceed $19.99.

catsmeow 02-25-05 12:24 AM

Anyone have the whole list of $9.99 ones? I have all but 2 of the ones mentioned so far.

It's actually only $12.99, but yes, you are taking a chance. But they will ship the other items that are available first, so it's worth a shot...

As for the rebate, apparently you only need to send in the form! It doesn't ask for UPC's or anything, so that is AWESOME!!! We can send it in NOW, before we even receive the items! All we need is the order number!!!

No handling fee for me! I was charged one the last time I ordered from them, but not this time. Maybe it has to do with particular items. Shopping cart specials could be exempt?!?! All 4 of my items were shopping cart specials.

pilot 02-25-05 12:39 AM

wasn't charged any handling fee..

anyone who may want some extra dvd cases may want to throw this onto their order..even though it says 'call us' for the availability.. if they ship em then cool .. 10 dvd cases for $3.95 .. http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=395883

Ordered Shark Tale (9.99), P.S. (7.99) and the Disney Treasure set for $31 shipped plus the rebate deal. Thanks OP!

dvdphilic 02-25-05 04:10 AM

This deal is really tempting.

I have a question about the rebate.

Does the rebate mean that no matter how many DVDs I order in one receipt, only 3 of them are qualify for the rebate and the one with the lowest price is free?

Or does the rebate mean that for every 3 DVDs I purchase, there will be one with the lowest price free? (Of course the upper limit is $19.99)

Let me be more specific: Suppose I ordered 6 DVDs with $9.99 each, will I receive $9.99 rebate or $19.98 rebate?

Lateralus 02-25-05 06:26 AM

You will only get the $9.99 rebate.

Lateralus 02-25-05 06:28 AM

I got Dodgeball (which is now up to $12.99), I Robot ($12.99) and The Incredibles ($17.50) for $43.48 then take off 12.99 for the rebate. Good Deal, thanks!

runner001 02-25-05 08:41 AM

regarding the rebate situation I have two questions for anyone who may know the answer:

1) as someone asked, is the rebate for every two DVDs you get one free or is it only one per order? if so, would making a second order be allowable or is that restricted in the rebate terms?

2) where's the link to the rebate form? i clicked on the "buy 2 get one free" link on ecost.com but it didn't bring up any pdf file as someone mentioned.

runner001 02-25-05 08:52 AM

nevermind. i called CS and got my answers. thanks all!

FYI Lateralus, after speaking with a CSR on the phone, I asked how come I, Robot did not show a discount when placed in the cart. She said it was an error and it is supposed to go down to $12.00 (.99 off). She said if I wanted it, she'll make the adjustment.

Here's a link to the rebate coupon It's one rebate per person per shipping address, so you only get the rebate on one DVD. If you want to place a second order, you'll have to ship it to another name and address.

BiMonSciFiCon 02-25-05 11:12 AM

BiMonSciFiCon 02-25-05 11:49 AM
