Earth Final Conflict and Beastmaster season sets for $9.98 each

This was originally posted in the anime thread for the anime titles but this is a good deal on these sets if you don't have them and want them. Just scroll through that long page to find them (too lazy to do direct links). I also see discs of Mutant X on there but I will wait for a good price on the season set.

If you are going to order anything from that website, I found a code that takes five dollars off of the total AND removes the shipping cost...try adding this under coupon code: DTTCHAT01

Gave this a shot. Shipping is a little expensive as stated, but bought ETC Vol 4 and the Devil Lady Collection for only $35 including shipping, so can't really complain.

I was about to jump on this offer until I got halfway through the checkout and saw the $22 shipping charge to Hawaii . Maybe another time, but thanks!

I would, but it seems that S1 & S2 of Earth:TFC are never coming out.

Yeah but at least EFC S3-S5 are single sided.....
They might re-release them recorded
on both sides in the future?
They have done it with other titles.

Also the cases ADV uses. Those thick bulky ones.
In my entire life I never saw so many floaters
when they 1st came out. At BB I think every
season 5 and almost all of 3 & 4 were jacked.
Never could find a EFC S5 without one disc
banging around & around inside.

Thanks -- duganrm !

I have been wanting to get these and didn't because of the price ! I have seen most eps but missed ending 3 or 4 of the series, did tape them, may still have them jumbled in amongst some 5+ tapes scattered about.

Considering I paid about $54 for EFC Season 3 (Best Buy, with gift card thank god) and about $24 for Season 4 (DDDVD), what you get here is a great deal, even with a shipping charge.

Although I'd recommend avoiding Season 5. I don't think even the Boone episodes and the finale make up for it.

And it is an absolute CRIME that the first season is not out. That is #1 on my wanted list.

I've never watched 'Beastmaster' or 'Earth:Final Conflict'. Are they good blind buys? Are they of the same quality as shows like Stargate, or more like the low budget Hercules and The Lost World type shows?

Also, I've heard 'Earth Final Conflict' went downhill over the years - is it worth getting the later years?

i saw all of Beastmaster. To me, it looks lower budget than Hercules (nowhere near Stargate level). haven't gotten around to watching E:FC yet.

Beastmaster is schlocky and campy but has nice cinematography/location shots (New Zealand?) and has a stellar anamorphic transfer (one of the best I've seen). Well worth the $9 a season.

Just don't expect Shakespeare.

I couldn't recommend Beastmaster if it were more than $15-20, at less than $10 I'd say it's a good blind buy.

I would consider E:FC along the production and story quality of Andromeda or Mutant X, if that helps you decide.

Earth Final Conflict was an excellent show. With what's on DVD, I recommend Seasons 3 and 4. I can not recommend Season 5, as the show made some drastic changes -
Spoiler:
no more Taelons (with one minimal exception), no more Liam, focus on Renee Palmer and her hunting these new aliens called Atavus.

The first season is most definitely the best, and IMO ranks up there with some of the best sci-fi and TV ever. S2 was OK, as I remember, but that was when the changes started, and the show kinda settled out into Season 3, with some saying Season 4 was even better.

Season 5 is just a mess.

EFC and Andromeda are from the same stable. Basically, EFC came first, and had more time to be good before the powers that be turned it to shit. Andromeda was the younger sibling that wasn't as fortunate, and went bad after a year or two.

(added a spoiler for those who are buying but havent seen) -pilot

Anyone know how this company is with shipping? Just curious to know if they provide tracking numbers, that sort of thing.

On top of that they state their policy is to charge your entire order upfront regardless and sort it out later.

I ordered a few things, at that price it was hard to resist. I only hope I get them, there's no way to know.

I wish I had known this before I ordered 6 boxsets.
