Thanks - will try and find some deal there.

I went to Borders today and damn they are still way to expensive! Basically everything they sell was at list price. 25% off list price is a crappy deal. I usually buy my DVD's from 30 to 50% off list one way or another. If you have gift cards that you got for Cristmas you have no choice like I do with all the stupid Blockbuster credit I have.

Thanks!

Used the coupon to get the Criterion DVD of The Long Good Friday that I've been meaning to pick up forever. $24.31 w/ tax. Not bad...

The "Yakuza Papers" box set is usually $89.99 at Borders, so it was $73.06 with the coupon and after California's high tax rate of 8.25%.
Yeah, sales-tax is 8.25% here in Dallas, too. Sucks...

That's not a good price at all, actually.

Thanks. Usually their coupons don't do you much good because their prices are so high, but 25% should come in handy. Also, be aware that you can use this coupon at Waldenbooks, which is a really good deal because the Waldenbooks near me sells a lot of clearance items.

It is when one considers that the lowest on-line price I could find is only $21.56 AND I didn't have to wait a week and a half to get it!

Like someone mentioned previously, this is a great deal for MSRP $20 titles. They're usually selling for around $15 regular price. I'm going to go this weekend and am hoping to find the Letter there. With the coupon it will be $11 and change, which is fantastic. I've gotten a number of WB's classic films for about that price with these coupons in the past.

Went to Borders today and picked up Iron Giant SE for $11. Might go back tomorrow to get Hellboy DC, its not a great deal but its acouple of bucks less then best buy.

I also got a coupon: 50% off any beverage $2.50 or higher and an offer for a free $20 gift card (after your first new purchase) if you appy for a Borders/Waldenbooks Visa Card. Not really worth it.

I went to two different Borders and they both gave me a hard time using the coupon. The Thousand Oaks, CA Borders wouldn't let me use it on CYE-S3 because it was already "on sale" for $29.99, so I passed on the deal. The Woodland Hills Borders told me that the "Monster" DVD was only eligible for 10% off because it was an "electronics" item. I argued the latter and prevailed. Still, it was a pain in my rear dealing with them. While I was arguing with them the gal at the register tried to be helpful by telling me that if I bought 3 DVDs at regular price, I could get a fourth for free. DVD's are priced much higher than most other retailers.

I understand the first problem -- the coupon clearly says the discount only applies to regular prices, not sales prices -- but I've never had Borders try to tell me that DVDs are considered "electronics." And I use these coupons all the time for DVDs. Sounds like just one uninformed employee. I typically have no problem.

That's the drawback of the "25%-off" coupon. It always applies against their "regular" selling price. I've had no problem using the "20%-off" coupon for items that are temporarily "on sale", as their system seems to allow that.

Reading the coupon it states that you only get 10% discount on dvds. What a rip-off in my opinion. I called and they wanted 79.99 for the Outer Limits Season 1. Thats way too expensive even with a discount.

No, it's 10% at Waldens. At Borders it's 25%. Certainly not a rip-off.

Just picked up Bob le Flambeur CC, it was about $20.50 with tax, what I would've paid at the online discounters, but I prefer paying cash for DVDs, and having it in my hand when I pay as opposed to waiting a week for it to arrive.

My local Borders has the OOP Fight Club for 23.99. I reserved it through the online site. Should I pick it up for 17.99, assuming they let me use the coupon?

If you paid for it online (like through their amazon.com site), you won't be able to use the coupon.

Did you try their website? You can check prices and availability for the locations near you. Plus, if they have one in stock, you can have them hold it for you for a couple days.

To answer your question:
$59.95
