(DEAD) Smokin' Hot Deal: South Park S1-5 26.99!!!!!!! (at Blockbuster Stores)
I would have missed this one myself if it wasn't for a friend who works at Blockbuster.
Blockbuster has South Park seasons 1-5 listed under one SKU for 26.99 for the entire set. I just came from the store myself and verified this and placed my order for it, with no problems at all. In fact, the employee said some of the other employees had ordered it themselves, though I didn't mention my friend by name as to not get him in trouble.
Like my other infamous BBV deal threads such as Voyager Season 2 and the SCTV sets, you MUST put down at least 5.00 on the set or pay for it in full. This covers you in case the price of the set increases after you order it and the time it comes in. You get locked in at this amazingly low price.
The BBV part number on my special order form: 977083.

tried to at a so. cal blockbuster, guy wouldn't take any money upfront saying they couldn't because they couldn't guarantee it would come in or something...all i got was a pink slip

I ordered it at a Cleveland BB, put 5 dollars down, got a receipt...As I left the store, the "customer service rep" told me:
"We usually sell each boxset for $39.99 a piece (I thought to myself, 'yeah right, this is blockbuster..you mean $59.99')...how is this $26.99? We have to verify this because it is not in stock. We will call you tomorrow.
My question- does my putting $5 guarantee that I get it for $26.99??? I hope this lady doesn't screw me out of this because I plan on re-trading them in for credit.

I just called a friend of mine who works at a blockbuster in Tucson, and he said he would check it out tommorrow when he goes in for work, and if its still at this price he will order it for me. I already own SP Seasons 1-4 but at this price you would be crazy to pass it up. Thanks to Colhoun07 for posting.

I just got back from my BB in Lincoln. Rep said it was no longer a preorder but that it came out 12/14/04. He didn't have any in stock but could order it in for delivery in 3 to 4 weeks. The cost $199. He even specified the 15 disk set so has the price been fixed?
Edited to add that even the offical sp site says the release date for season 5 is march, 2005. Guess I'll try again in the morning

Just got back from my local BB in Yorkville, IL. Went through smoothly, even had to tell the worker how to do the special order sheet and how to run it paid in full. Anybody know if they can cancel this if you've already paid in full?? Plus when is the release date on this?
