Matrix Ultimate Set for $49.99 at Fry's

I'm sure that this will also be covered in a Fry's thread, but since there isn't one yet, I thought I would post this. Fry's has the new Matrix set for $49.99 this weekend in their ad. PM'ing at CC would bring down the price a few more dollars. The sale is through Monday.

Also note that it is limited to one per customer. I saw the ad this morning.

Why pay 49.99 + tax at Fry's when you can pick it up at Amazon for a few cents over $50 with STL. Besides getting the set right away, I don't see any benefit of going to the actual store. And yes Fry's "limit one per customer" is a joke. The revolving door purchasing system works fine with no questions asked.

what's wrong with getting it right away? do you have something against fry's? i also don't know how well your math is. with stl + tax it is not a few cents over $50. i'd much rather go to a store than wait for the mail.

Pickup in a store - you can pick one with the best condition and inspect for any 'floaters' (shake test). You can watch it as soon as you get home.

Through mail - you wait for a few days and meanwhile you pray that the packer didn't pick one with any dent or cut, and it's not crushed in the mail.

If it's significantly cheaper online, I'll usually buy it through there. If its' only slightly cheaper online, I'll usually pick it up in-store.
