Hastings Deal PVD "Buy one get one for .01" sale

From what I overheard yesterday, this is an extension of a previous sale since it went over so well. The employees did not know how long it would last. There were no PVD's priced over $9.99 and some are as low as $5.99 so it is a good chance to pick up a few things.

Good deal. So it is buy one get one for .01? Not buy two get one for a penny? I'll be by a Hastings this weekend and I might have to check it out.

Hastings Website

Does Hastings have a website? I don't think there is an actual store remotely near me (southern NH).

I stopped by this morning and picked up:

Dawn of the Dead (Unrated) $ 9.99
Kill Bill Volume 2 $ 0.01

The Mother $ 9.99
The Last Samurai $ 0.01

There were a bunch of $5.99 titles but I either already own them or wasn't interested.

I called my Hastings today after reading this thread last nite. They didn't know anything about it. Scored a bunch of good PVD's last time, was hoping for more. I'll stop by there tomorrow to see for myself, as the majority of the workers there never seem to have a clue.

Found this deal at my local Hastings. Picked up Man on Fire, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Dawn of the Dead (Unrated), & Hidalgo for $20.00 plus tax. I'll be stopping by perioldically to see if they get any new ones. Can't beat $5.00 per dvd.

Has anyone seen The Dreamers or Dogville available? I have been wanting to pick those up and 2 for $10 would be a nice price.

Why is it that I always think of Full Metal Jacket when someone creates a Hastings thread.

Is this a B&M only offering? I can't seem to find it online.

My Texas Hastings said Dogville wouldn't be put into the PVD piles for about more weeks 3 weeks, but they had 10 copies of the Dreamers on the 2/$10 sale. I did buy them all however, for myself, most of my friends and board buddies. So if you have a Hastings around you and want it, they probably have it.

I decided to answer my own question and go take about my fifth look for Dogville and The Dreamers.. oddly enough xtopher they had one Dogville hidden somewhere and I was lucky enough to find it, no go to The Dreamers though.. I didn't realize Hastings puts their own white rings around the DVD center ring that does kind of suck but oh well the price is right and they give you the inserts and original cases.

I picked up

Dogville
21 Grams

Sounds good for me. Will keep looking for The Dreamers though.

while the store here may have changed (unlikely), the problem with hastings is that many of the stores are hit and miss. while there is a store about 30 miles away that does have many PVD's for about $10 each, the one here in town usually charges at least $15. thanks for the heads up though.

Was just in Hastings tonight....nothing stating buy one get another for 1 cent. However, when I went to the counter I was informed of this deal and stated I heard about it yet nothing is posted within the store. Picked up Godsend & Super Size Me for 10/61 (both including inserts!)

Anyone with Hastings around them, might re-check it out. This week, my local store stocked at least 10 new titles as PVDs.

The Stepford Wives
Kingdom Hospital Complete Series ($7.99 for one disc, $.01 for the second)
The Day After Tomorrow
Dawn of the Dead Unrated
SuperSize Me
Girl Next Door Unrated
The Punisher
White Chicks
Dogville
Man on Fire
Shrek 2

There were about 5-10 other titles freshly stocked and lining shelves, but I can't remember them offhand.

Stopped by again today to see what was going on, picked up..

Before Sunset
The Saddest Music in the World

Before Sunset unfortunately scratched up a bit so I will probably return for another one. But for those that go those are some new ones.
