Anyone who has done this, please let us know! Thanks.

No luck getting CC (my local one) to price match and getting the extra 10%. They made an exception for today. So I headed to Target and they had Simpsons and lots of Family Guys but no Buffy. Had to request a raincheck.

They also had "Man on Fire" for $8.88. I arrived at 6:10 and there weren't any available on the shelf and no help on the floor in that area. I did a little more shopping and swung by the DVD area on the way to check out. I lucked out, there was a stock boy passing out the DVD quicker than he could stock the shelf.

I think Ive beat everyone... went in my Super Target... from the far end (only 3 in front of me there as opposed to about 100 on the other side) walked briskly across the store, snagged my Family Guy for me.. buffy for my wife... asked the electronics guy for the 100 4MP digital camera... walked right up to the first line... was out of the store at 6:05... and the people in line on the crowded side of the store were still filing in slowly...

All I'll say is thankfully all the psychotic housewives had no interest in Buffy season sets. You definitely didn't want to be in their way.

Went to Target at around 6:45 am and wanted Simpsons S4. I was kind of worried they would be gone by then, but I got to the DVD TV sets section and there they all were, as if they hadn't been touched. There were no signs saying $17.77 so I figure that's why no one had taken them. I even had to double check the Target ad to make sure it was them that had it... good experience overall, picked up the rest of my list while I was there.

I went at about 10 am. I got the Family Guy, Buffy Season 7, and Dawson's Creek sets as gifts at the $17.77 price . I got Rain Checks for Simpsons and South Park. They had Rain Check pads where DVDs should have been. You had them scanned at checkout line and they printed the rain check. No need to wait at customer service which was a big plus.

Also got the Day after Tomorrow and Mulan sets. All in all a great experience. No long lines and I got most of what I wanted without getting out up at 5AM.

My Target may have sold out but more logically, they didn't even sell them. THere was no spot on the shelves for them anywhere! The only thing they did sell at $17.77 was what seemed like 50 copies of Dawson's Creek. Bastards.

Sorry. Bad day.

8:30 am. I bought one of each of the boxsets, except the simpsons which was sold out (I got a raincheck for 2 copies). I also bought Mulan & Aladdin. People didn't seem to be interested in Buffy and Dawsons creeks, there were a lot of these left.

Rainchecks at my local Target (Lynnwood) don't say anything about substitutions on them. (dang!) Anyone know about Woodinville?

I don't know about Woodinville, but 11/20 I got a raincheck for Saving Private Ryan at $10 at the new Federal Way store and it had the substitute option on it and no list of other stores that had it in stock. Probably too far to drive just for a raincheck though.

So from what ive read, if lets say Buffy is sold out, I can get a raincheck for it for $17.77? If so, whats the point of getting there so eary if I can just get it later for $17.77? Also, has anyone confirmed if it can be substituted for another boxset?

yea target was retarded they tell you to get in line yet when they opened they let people in from all the different doors which completely canceled the reason for having a line to begin with lol

I just got back from a Target that refused to give me a raincheck on the TV sets. Does Target set these policies on a store to store basis? If not does anyone have a suggestion on how to get a raincheck?

it looks like the new rain checks only allow you to pick up the dvd you got the rain check for

Okay, I went back to get a raincheck for South Park S3, and now I see it's all fucked up. It has the price listed at 40 bucks. WTF? Do I need to go back and get another raincheck?!

God, I wish I had looked at this before I left.

I'm really surprised that Target gives rainchecks. For future reference, how long do these rainchecks last? Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Went to Wal-Mart and got Two Simpsons S4 and one of The Family guy on a Target pricematch. No problems at all. I wanted to snag Buffy, but they only had season 6 there.

I just got back for target. They had plenty of family guy and Simpsons. Sold out of Buffy season 7 but they did have one Buffy season 6 that I went to see if I could get in place of season 7. The guy said no problem he went to fix the price and it was already priced at 17.77. So all in all it helped me that I didnt go at 6am. Got buffy season 6 for 17.77 and a rain check for season 7.
