I saw a post on another board I read that said CC will have it for $36.99. Otherwise Best Buy at $39.99 looks to be the best deal so far.

Best Buy has a $5 gift card in the package if you buy it there. I wonder if that will stop them from price matching Target.

Of course it will. Hell, half the time they lie about regular price matches by telling people "oh, I already called there and they're out of it", and that's without some bonus on the package.

I'm really starting to not like that store anymore...

Target's web prices are completely unrelated to B&M pricing. I think their online store is tied to amazon and uses their prices.

I'm definitely going to buy this set. Looks like I'll be headed to Target on Tuesday.

If Best Buy won't let you PM because of the GC, you should ask them if they will let you open the package before you pay so that you can take out the GC and apply it to the purchase of the box set.

If the GC is to be considered as making the purchase price $5 less, then you should logically be able to use it on the purchase in order to make the price $5 less... but there isn't anything logical about BB's GED graduate work force.

That does suck. I just checked the website and it said that price isn't available online.

The problem is there is a $12 difference between the two. So still using the girftcard you are losing $7. That is enough to make me buy it (or get a raincheck) from Target.

Understood. But I was basically saying that BB's price matching policy is stupid.

They do but it appears that the Target site is not showing the in-store price nd you have to match it to a website.

This is probably an error in the Target print ad, BB may be a problem but... Circuit City will typically will price match + 10% of the difference and I've never had a problem price matching with them.

Got the Target ad right in front of me. $27.98. They can't misprint every single ad in the country! If they don't honor it, I'll just go to another store.

I bought mine at Target this morning. Sign in the store said 27.98, and it rang up for 27.98. They had 6 or 7 of them (Cherry Hill, NJ).

also picked it up at target for 27.98 (last one) -- it is ticketed at 39.99 (which is still a great price).

I PMed at Best Buy for $27.98. No problem.

They said nothing about the giftcard,

Opened it up, no GF inside.

I guess if you pay the 39.99, they give you the GF separately

I PMed mine at Best Buy for the $27.98 with no problems also.

The giftcard is glued inside the box set with that rubber cement stuff in front of the booklet. If yours didn't have one, there must have just been a mistake with the one you bought.

^ It figures. Wonder if it was the whole batch, or my luck picking the wrong one.

I got it at a good price so I don't mind. but for those paying 39.99 would be pissed. How do you prove it wasn't in there. It's like the Predator AvP coupon mess.

I just picked it up at Target as well. They still had at least eight at the Mountain View, CA store.
