I'll go back next week to pick up Spiderman and Dodgeball (and two others).

I got 12 movies today. They didn't have Dodgeball here.
Harry Potter, POA $9.99
Elf widescreen, only 1 disc $9.99
Spiderman 2 $9.99
Dirty Dancing Havana Nights $9.99
Sleepover $14.99
The Terminal $14.99
Dead End $14.99
Princess Diaries 2 $14.99
Bourne Supremacy $14.99
Man on Fire $14.99
Garfield $14.99
Chronicles of Riddick $14.99
All 12 were $85.50 after tax. I wish I would have gotten one of the coupons that makes the sale run through Jan. I only got coupons from them once. I guess they lost my address.

My Movie Gallery had pulled a ton of movies since last I checked. Not only were there the new releases, but there were many older titles they had clearanced. All of these titles were really cheap.
I picked up for around $17:
Rodger Dodger
Treasure Planet
Final Destination
Madden 2002 GC
They had a lot of good stuff that I already had including a must have for horror fans: Dagon for $3.99.

I didn't realize games were part of this sale.
I'm going to start buying games for a six year old cousin.
It will be a birthday present for him.
Also, I plan on buying "Terminal" and "13 Going on 30" when they are $4.99.
I guess I need to make sure that they have my mailing address also so I can get neat stuff in the mail from them.

I bought the following for a total of $37.xx or so:
About a Boy
Castle In the Sky
Frida
The Hours
Igby Goes Down
The Italian Job (1969)
Tremors
Whale Rider
All of them are WS, and are in perfect condition. Not bad for only about $4.60 for each DVD.

BrentLumkin,
Have you seen Igby yet? If not, let me know how you like it. I am amazed it went under the radar as much as it did, especially with Garden State (which is in my opinion ridiculously similar thematically) doing so well. In short, I loved Igby . Feel free to shoot me a line about whether you liked it, I respect your opinion.

Stopped by my local Movie Gallery today (Methuen, MA). The buy 2 get 2 ended on 1/5, but the woman told me it was starting up again on like 1/28.
They've got a buy 2 get 1 free going on in the mean time though. I picked up:
Dodgeball
I,Robot
Collateral
Each were 9.99 too, so it came to 20.98 with tax! Just under $7 a hit.

At my MG the lady told me twice a year but buy two get one free is still good.
It beats the pants off of Blockbuster.
I went to a Blockbuster locally and they didn't have any new stuff in the previously viewed section.

It is more like 3 to 4 times a year, about once every 3 to 4 months. I am betting the next sale is around the 2nd or 3rd week of March, because of Easter being at the end of March. It would be nice if it was the 28th though, but that seems a little soon. I never buy on the buy 2 get 1 free. All the titles are always still there by the time the next sell starts. They start pulling a title around three weeks to a month after release and pull a few each week after that. The next sale is on before they are done pulling that title on the big movies.

For the last 18 months it has been quarterly, usually at the end of the quarter. The last sale started earlier than the one the year before and ran much longer, so perhaps they are changing their schedule.

Question:
I never was interested in these Movie Gallery sales because I always thought they weren't in the Seattle area but using the link on page 1, it pulls up a few places called Video Update in my area.
Can anyone tell me if these Video Updates participate in these Movie Gallery b2g2 sales? TIA!

Yes.
Video Update was bought up by Movie Gallery and the one near me is where I got the deal,so I would say they are part of it. And they are currently running a buy 2 get one free. The new PVD deal does start on the 28th.
