I don't know that they do normal store credit, I thought it was just a promotion that if you trade in 3 titles you get one of the new ones free. The list of studios the titles had to come from was pretty long.

I don't have DVD's to trade in, what's the cheapest place to buy some to take advantage of this deal?

I believe you pay for shipping so it is probably up to you. If you would like a concrete answer try contacting them as I'm sure they will offer a reply.

I've used http://www.sellmydvds.com three or four times in the last year with no problems, it might take a couple days for them to get back to you with a price quote, but other than that everything was ok. You only have 10 days to get your DVDs there after they give a price quote, but I have sent both Priority and Media Mail, so it's up to you how much you spend on shipping.
I always use delivery confirmation, and I've always gotten my check from them about a week after they get my DVDs.

These are some of the DVDs that I've gotten $10.00 or more for, but usually my average has been $7-$8.00.

Escape From New York-Special Edition(2 disc)
Gladiator (2 disc signature selection)
Kill Bill Volume 1
