50% off: A Few Titles from New Yorker

Browsing around on DVDPriceSearch, I found a few New Yorker titles for a really good price at DeepDiscountDVD:

Beau Travail $14.38 [$29.95 list]
Cyclo $14.38 [$29.95 list]
Jazz on a Summer’s Day $14.38 [$29.95 list]
Kandahar $16.20 [$29.95 list]
La Promesse $9.58 [$19.95 list]
Sitcom $14.38 [$29.95 list]

I didn't check every New Yorker DVD, so there are probably others.

Great - there are two titles on that list I've been wanting to get:

The Boys Of St. Vincent
Sugar Cane Alley

Really? It must be a pretty select list of titles because I just tried four titles at half.com. Two were more expensive at half.com to start with (The Boys Of St. Vincent, Cyclo), and one was more expensive after adding shipping (Sugar Cane Alley), and the forth title wasn't in their data base at all (The Town is Quiet).

As with most things there, it comes down to timing. I picked up ST. VINCENT for 9.99 a couple of weeks ago.

Try looking for TOWN under its real title, "Ville est tranquille."

Again, it's timing, not a rule.
