Have you been trading two used for one free new release and, if so, what recent titles have you been able to get?

I think MovieStop is fairly new. We have one here in Orlando, and one opening up soon in Sanford. I think I overheard one of them employees saying that there's only like a dozen of them so far, but they're wanting to expand.

I don't know if this is a new program or has just been resumed, but our local MovieStop allows trading three movies from major studios for preorders (have done Robots, Cinderella, and Batman Begins) or any current release under $20 as long as it has a new release notation on the price sticker. They even gave me credit for sales tax on the trade-ins so I didn't have to pay tax when I picked up Robots this week.

Moviestop is a pretty cool place. I've found many OOP titles for a good price there. I go for the 3/1 deal quite a bit, it allows me to get rid of some dvd clutter for something new.

MovieStop is a seperate store than GameStop. They are owned by the same people. In my area there is a Moviestop and next door is a mini GameStop.

I love the MovieStop store down by me in Jacksonville, FL. It's a 3-1 trade for any new release in the store $19.99 and under. The 3 movies have to name brand studio releases and can't be promo copies are the only restrictions on the trade ins.

You can even trade in 3 moves for $19.99 credit towards any single movie release that costs more than $19.99 but sadly you can't place the $19.99 towards a box set for some unknown reason.

I used to dump my old, crappy DVD's on e-bay, but figuring you get basically a $7 credit for such gems as Sphere or Lost in Space make it a no brainer on the trade ins.
