Rocky Anthology - Pre-Order - $28.61 Shipped

http://www.dvdsoon.com/show-title-de...xml?uid=125323

I know not many have faith in DVDSoon but for those that do and want to take advantage of this fantastic price, be sure to pre-order this for 28.61 shipped. DVDSoon usually starts to raise their prices closer to the release date on many titles. So, if you pay the 28.xx now, you got it for a steal!

My only concern though is if it has bilingual packaging. Does anybody know if it will be identical to the US release?

Yeah as far as I know you can cancel later. I think that you can either get store credit or a refund.....and yes they do charge your account right away.

well i just read a bunch of reviews on dvdsoon at pricegrabber.com, even though the price is so cheap, and i dont mind the Bilingual package or that they charge early, but the hassel, people have stated that they did not receive the item for 2 months and sometimes if they cancel, they give you store credit which dissappears from your account, not worth it , i'll just get it from freedvd4me.com

If you pre-order from DVDsoon your card will be charged immediately. Then they will refund to you in store credit. If you want your cash back, you have to jump through some hoops on their website. Then you will be out any differences in exchange rate plus any fees your bank charges for currency conversion.

Excellent. Ordered it just now. I couldn't find any coupons, oh well.

Count me as a satisfied customer of DVD Soon. I've ordered about 50 DVD's from DVD Soon and have not had any problems.

I've actually recieved some of my orders from them up to a week BEFORE the release date. Most arrive at least the week the DVD(s) were released.

if your package gets lost in the mail, it'll take FOREVER to receive the product.

I ordered the Robocop Trilogy on 6/2/04. It shipped on 6/9/04 I think. It got lost in the mail. I had to wait like 30+ business days to officially have it declared as lost. Then since they have problems with MGM delivering product to them, it took another month for them to receive it from MGM.

It took over 3 months for me to get the product from them.

I also ordered 12 Angry Men from them (another MGM product) and that took forever for them to get from MGM. I think that took over 2 months to get to me.

But if you're willing to wait (and I'm talking in some cases 2-3 months) then it's worth the low prices.

dvdsoon had a similar deal on Robocop trilogy. People who received it mentioned that it does not have a bilinqual cover (that is, identical to the U.S. version), and it's MGM btw.

I believe the bilingual covers are a new policy for MGM. I think Walking Tall is the first such release.

If you check DVDSoon's website you'll notice that they have two separate releases for Robocop, one (v. f) and the other not. In other words, there was a French version and a non-French version. If you do a similar search for the Rocky Anthology you will only turn up one release. There is no separate French version listed. BUT the UPC for this release is different than the UPC listed for the Rocky Anthology on DVDEmpire's website. Which leads me to believe a different UPC is being used because the release is bilingual. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that Walking Tall, noted above as having a bilingual cover for the Canadian release, also has two distinct UPC codes (DVDSoon v. DVDEmpire).

I love this set and would pay an extra $20 not to have the french writing on it. Plus, I got $50 for my old set on ebay, so anywhere around there and it is a trade. No bilingual for me. Rocky wouldn't appreciate it.

While i prefer it not to have a bilingual cover, the price is too good to refuse, and trust me there is no one who is so anal about their dvd's as me plus probably the biggest rocky fan there is, the bottom line is the price is tooooooooooooo good, i sold my rocky set for alot more, but in the end i "ll buy this set not for the looks but for its contents and price

Amen, we can't have the great american movie tainted by the French I was going to jump on this until I saw the bilingual cover, no thank you, but a good price nonetheless, just not worth it to me.
