Dang, I may get that Last Samurai disc. Why does MYSTIC RIVER have to be movie only with 0 extras I want to get that film but not for the high price the deluxe edition costs.

If you just want the film, get the snapper. The deluxe edition already had a price drop so it can be had for around $20 or so.

Thanks to the OP. $9.99 for the Last Samurai is a great price but I already paid $15.99 + Tax for it when it came out

I'm holding out for the deluxe edition too, but I'll get this now for 9.99 anyway, and keep it sealed until Monday. If the 3-disc set becomes available for enrollment via phone next week at Columbia House, I will be able to sell this one for $10 easy. If not, I'll just keep it to watch now, and put the 3-disc set on my xmas list, then sell the snapper edition used for $5

Not in the Oregonian ad either, just the previously six (6) mentioned titles.

Having nothing better to do, I read this and scurried on down to the local Circuit City and picked up Mystic River, Last Samurai, Runaway Jury and Master & Commander. There was nothing in the store indicating that these were on sale, and all the tags showed regular prices. So, I asked a friendly and helpful Circuit City employee to verify the sale prices and she said that they all scanned at their regular price (Mystic at $19.99 and Samurai at $22.99!!)! I thanked her and put everything back. I decided to get Passion of the Christ since it was still on release-day pricing, and as I was at the counter paying for that, the employee I had spoken with moments ago rushed up to tell me that all the other DVDs were on sale after all! She had checked something online after I had asked. So, I got the other four titles I wanted at the $9.99 price!

I liked it, but for $10 I am buying this for the History Channel extras. I saw them broadcast and really liked them. The movie is an added bonus.

IMHO, one of the best movies of 2003. Check the review forum and movie talk for my opinions.
